In the days that followed Hailey Bieber’s wild bachelorette party, hosted by best friend Kendall Jenner in Los Angeles, the model welcomed friends and family to Montage Hotel’s Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina for a rehearsal dinner before wedding Justin Bieber (again) at Somerset Chapel on September 30.

Prior to the dinner, which took place on September 29, the Daily Mail reports Katy Perry and Kendall Jenner flew to Georgia on Scooter Braun’s private jet. While Kylie Jenner did not join the pair, she has since taken to Instagram with an image alongside momager Kris Jenner in a private jet of her own, and we have no doubt the 22-year-old reality star is heading to her friend’s nuptials.

E! News reports that a source has confirmed “Hailey and Justin wanted the party to be a casual get together to celebrate everyone together under one roof” and “the attire was casual chic.”

For the pre-wedding occasion, the bride opted for a custom-made dress from one of Vivienne Westwood’s couture collections, which she paired with matching Jimmy Choo heels. The off-the-shoulder design, which was created in the token bridal hue of white, featured a rather short hemline and a v-neckline.

“Guests arrived by boat to the rehearsal dinner on the Palmetto property. There were several water taxis that took guests over around 6:30 pm,” a source told E! News of the celebration. “The dinner was on the edge of the water. There were many string lights hanging and lit candles. The dècor was very chic and white.”

According to the publication, the likes of Joan Smalls, Karla Welch, Justine Skye, Kenny Hamilton and numerous family members were also in attendance, and celebrity event planner Mindy Weiss “removed all of the existing furniture and refurnished the whole place with her items” for the event.

“After the rehearsal/welcome party ended, the guests were shuttled back via water shuttle to the Montage in Palmetto Bluffs where they had an after-hours party,” an alternate source told E! News. “The party was in the bowling and game room.”

“Everyone was bowling and taking advantage of the games and was having a really fun time. The night went pretty late,” the insider continued. Jenner has since taken to Instagram Stories with a short video of herself bowling a strike in a strapless yellow and white dress.

Following the after-party, E! News reports the bride and groom also hosted a late night screening of The Notebook, capping off what we have no doubt was an affair to remember.

“I actually looked at them today,” says Silje Lorentzen of the candid polaroids she sent her mother-agency Team Models four years ago, “it was so funny.” Now she’s backstage at Givenchy: not just walking in her first ever show, but opening Clare Waight Keller’s spring/summer 2020 collection, and leading the finale. “I still have to pinch myself,” says the 23-year-old Norwegian model, “I feel very lucky to be here.” 

Working with renowned casting director Piergiorgio Del Moro – who was also behind the line-up at Versace, Victoria Beckham, Tom Ford and Michael Kors this season – Waight Keller singled out Lorentzen straight away.

“She has this very raw beauty,” the artistic director tells backstage at her Paris Fashion Week show. “The thing that really caught my eye was this idea of absolute purity in her face. The fact that she has these sort of slight freckly cheeks, this freshness: very modern, quite intellectual. But at the same time, just a sophistication to the way she looks.” 

Del Moro remembers seeing Lorentzen on the first day of pre-castings and thinking she would be great for the French maison. “Without saying anything, when she came into the room, [Clare] immediately said her face was incredible: ‘She looks like an actress!’,” he recalls. “[Clare] is fascinated by faces where you can see confidence and maturity at the same time. She knows what she likes, so it is very clear what I have to deliver.”

Givenchy’s spring/summer 2020 woman is “fresh, raw and she’s quite a tomboy,” explains Waight Keller. Note the crisp tailoring, upcycled Nineties denim, hothouse florals, scarf necklines and balloon sleeves on the runway. 

Represented by MP Management in Paris and Team Models in Norway, Lorentzen is as surprising as she is striking. Originally from Tønsberg in southern Norway, the former professional show jumper and pre-med student (who once planned on a future in plastic surgery) now lives in Oslo, where she is pursuing modelling full time.

The necessary qualities to succeed in today’s industry? “Confidence, persistence and caring about what you do,” says Del Moro. “You can be the most beautiful woman, but if you don’t care about what you’re doing, you’re not listening, growing and evolving your career, you probably won’t go anywhere.”

With Givenchy under her belt, it is safe to say Lorentzen will go far.

The Reds could lose the lead in the title race on Wednesday after another insipid draw at West Ham

London called, but Liverpool were unable to answer.

Grey shirted, the Premier League leaders produced a performance to match the East London sky. This, their second draw in the space of five days, raises serious questions as to whether they can sustain their title challenge amid growing pressure from both Manchester City and Tottenham.

They will surrender top spot if City can win at Everton on Wednesday. Here, against a West Ham side wounded by recent setbacks, they looked like a team burdened by the situation they find themselves in. Pressure, it seems, can do strange things to a football team.

An easy assumption? Perhaps, but how else to explain the way the Reds’ basics have deserted them of late. They got to the top through solidity, security and composure, but it has been lacking since the turn of the year.

Here at the London Stadium, they were unable to take advantage of a helping hand from an assistant referee, who allowed Sadio Mane’s opener to stand despite James Milner being offside in the build-up. West Ham, who had been the better side to that point, levelled through Michail Antonio within six minutes, with the kind of goal that title hopefuls simply shouldn’t be conceding.

The sloppiness was everywhere. It was there in the way both Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino, under little pressure, ceded possession on the Liverpool left, and in the way Fabinho, eager to help, shipped a cheap free kick. Just as against Leicester last week, Liverpool were punished for it.

From there, West Ham worked the ball admirably, Felipe Anderson rolling a disguised pass down the side of the visitors’ wall for Antonio, who was too strong for Keita and who finished accurately off the far post. Impressive from the Hammers, appalling from Liverpool.

A worrying trend. Jurgen Klopp’s side conceded just seven goals in their opening 19 league fixtures, but have shipped eight in the last six, keeping just one clean sheet.

Injuries are catching up with the Merseysiders. Here, they were without two of their main midfield men, with Gini Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson sidelined. Dejan Lovren, too, was absent.

“Minor issues,” say the club. There is no such thing in this situation. Liverpool headed into the game with Adam Lallana making his first start of any kind since November and with two teenagers, Rafa Camacho and Curtis Jones, on the bench. The decision to loan out Nathaniel Clyne early in January looks more of an error with each passing game.

James Milner, who will give whatever he has, whenever he is asked, was tormented by the pacy, skilful Anderson as he again filled in at right-back here, having overcome a bout of illness over the weekend. Trent Alexander-Arnold’s return should ease matters, but news of a setback for Joe Gomez in his recovery from a fractured leg is far from welcome. Liverpool need bodies, and they are losing them at the moment.

They lacked quality here, unable to muster too much by way of clear-cut chances and far too sloppy with their passing, particularly in the first half. Roberto Firmino had a nightmare, Naby Keita fused promise with alarming carelessness in possession. Mo Salah and Sadio Mane tried, but were unable to work the miracles required. Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi were summoned from the bench, Daniel Sturridge was not.

And so the baton is passed to City, with Liverpool asking for a favour from their neighbours at Goodison Park in 48 hours’ time. They should have been seven points clear last Wednesday; a week later they could find themselves wondering where their lead went.

Improvement is needed, and fast. Liverpool remain in the driving seat, but the road is getting more and more treacherous by the day.

The club may have slumped to a disappointing home defeat against Bologna on Sunday, but the manager insists the squad are united

Luciano Spalletti insists he retains the full support of his Inter squad despite the Nerazzurri slipping to a shock 1-0 defeat to Bologna in Serie A.

For the third successive league match Inter failed to score, let alone win, as Federico Santander gave Sinisa Mihajlovic victory on his return to Bologna.

The pressure is growing on Spalletti and he was jeered by sections of the San Siro crowd during Sunday’s game, though he is adamant he can rectify the situation.

“The team is with me and as far as I’m concerned, I don’t have any issues there,” he said.

“We created problems for ourselves today. Even when we should’ve been comfortable or were in a position to score. 

“You then lose confidence in your own ability and if the level of insecurity grows, you start to make mistakes, while the opposition can score.

“It takes a strong character to react, and we must improve on this.

“Every time we fall beneath the standards that we’ve set, we even make the most basic of errors. 

“The football wasn’t fluid but we still had three clear chances to take the lead. At times, one chance would’ve been enough but we didn’t manage to score and then you start trying to force it too much.”

And when asked about the reaction from some of the home support, Spalletti was not too concerned, insisting the paying public were perfectly within their rights to express their opinions.

“Whistles don’t change anything in my attitude,” he added. “The fans deserve better, because this is Inter.

“Serious responses are needed with what we do on the pitch and how we think.”
