UFC 213 has lost its scheduled main event on the day of the show.
Ariel Helwani first reported on his Twitter account this afternoon that Amanda Nunes, the UFC women’s bantamweight champion who was supposed to face Valentina Shevchenko in
the main event tonight, is currently in the hospital.
Helwani noted that Nunes has been feeling ill all week. The fight wasn’t officially off when he first tweeted, but he then confirmed that it wouldn’t be happening in a post on MMA Fighting.
The Yoel Romero vs. Robert Whittaker fight for the interim middleweight title will now be moved to the main event position and one of the prelim fights will be moved up to the main card. The rest of the pay-per-view lineup includes Fabricio Werdum vs. Alistair Overeem, Daniel Omielanczuk vs. Curtis Blaydes, and Anthony Pettis vs. Jim Miller.
Travis Browne vs. Aleksei Oleinik is the top fight scheduled for the FS1 prelims.
Austria’s far-Right Freedom Party has been accused of attempting to restrict press freedom in the country after an email advising police not to share information with certain publications was leaked.
The email, sent by the interior ministry to police press officers around the country, advises them to keep communications with some of Austria’s best-known media outlets to “the minimum legally possible”.
The Freedom Party controls the interior ministry as junior partner in Austria’s coalition government. The email is part of a new media policy ordered by Herbert Kickl as interior minister.
“Certain media provide very one-sided and negative coverage of the interior ministry and the police,” the email states.
It goes on to suggest “limiting communication with these media to the minimum legally possible and not offering them any benefits such as exclusive access.”
The email names Der Standard and Kurier, two of the country’s best-known newspapers, and Falter, a magazine known for its investigative journalism.
The leaked email caused an outcry and calls for Mr Kickl’s resignation as interior minister. The new policy was condemned as “crossing a dangerous line” by the Austrian Journalists’ Union.
Sebastian Kurz, the Austrian chancellor, was quick to overrule the new policy and distance himself from his coalition partners.
“The exclusion or boycott of selected media will not be permitted in Austria,” Mr Kurz said in New York, where he is taking part in the United Nations general assembly.
“Government and public institutions have a grave responsibility to protect a free and independent journalism and any restriction of freedom of the press is unacceptable.”
In a statement, the interior ministry said the email was only a suggestion and “not an obligation or directive” for press officers. It was not ordered directly by Mr Kickl, the ministry added.
The email also encouraged the police to publicise all sexual offences as widely as possible. Previously the Austrian police policy has been to minimise publicity of sex attacks as far as possible in order to spare the victims further trauma.
The president of a South Korean cable television company has resigned in the wake of a public outcry over his 10-year-old daughter’s verbal abuse and threats aimed at her chauffeur.
Bang Jung-oh, head of the TV Chosun network, issued a statement through the company saying he would resign to take responsibility for his daughter’s behaviour.
“I express deep regret for causing the public trouble related to my child”, Mr Bang said in the statement. “I apologise sincerely to the chauffeur for his distress”.
An audio file of the girl’s threats was released by the rival MBC TV channel and is understood to have been recorded by the driver as he drove her to a private after-school lesson. It is believed that the driver recorded similar tirades on at least seven occasions. He was fired the day after he reported her comments to her parents.
At one point, the girl – who has not been named because she is a minor – shouts at the driver, “Hey, you! I’ll speak to my mother today to make you lose your job.
“You’re fired”, she adds. “You’re really insane. Hey, I’m speaking to you. I told you don’t want to [sit down]. Why should I sit down? This is my car, not yours”.
After a prolonged silence, the driver can be heard replying, “Fire me if you want”.
The girl yells back, “Do you think I would be embarrassed? You’re crippled. Crippled without arms, legs, face, ears or a mouth. You’re insane. Your parents taught you wrong.
“I really hate you. I want you to die. That’s my wish”.
The driver reported the girl’s comments to her parents and her mother made her apologise, before becoming hostile and demanding that he delete the recordings. Sacked the following day, he was given no reason for the decision.
Interviewed by MBC, the tearful chauffeur said, “I expected that [the mother] would console me with an apology and warm words, but that was not the case”.
The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with commentators saying the heads of the nation’s “chaebol” business groups and their families are “living in the Dark Ages” and that they consider anyone in the service industries to be their “personal slaves”.
In December 2014, the vice president of Korean Air and daughter of the president of the national flag carrier was roundly criticised for flying into a rage at the way an attendant served her a bag of nuts as their aircraft prepared to take off from New York’s John F. Kennedy airport. Heather Cho was accused of assaulting the flight attendant, before ordering the aircraft to return to the terminal and delaying the flight by 20 minutes.
She later resigned a number of her duties at the airline and served three months of a 12-month term for endangering aviation safety, although she has since returned to many of her posts.

coronavirus sur les côtes françaises.

Points connus
Renault F1 director Alain Prost believes 2021 recruit Fernando Alonso will return to F1 with a different philosophy after spending two years away from the sport.
Renault recently sealed a two-year deal with Alonso that will see Spaniard renew his association for a third time with the French manufacturer with which he won both his world titles.
Prost admitted that Alonso’s reputation as a trouble-maker and his track record of publicly unleashing his frustrations in difficult times were a cause for concern at Renault.
Hamilton has no doubt Alonso will be ‘in great shape’
But Prost says that lengthy talks with the 38-year-old before he signed up for a new spell with Renault alleviated the latter’s concerns.
“What happened with Fernando and different teams was my biggest problem and question mark,” Prost told Reuters. “I talked to Fernando many times about that.
“I really trust him that he’s going to have another philosophy.
“Two years outside Formula 1 in my opinion was maybe not bad for him to have a different feeling, different view.
“He knows what he’s going to get in terms of performance of the car, he knows that 2021 is also going to be a little bit difficult.
“He’s prepared for that … I really think he’s going to be very different than people understand.”
Renault F1 boss Cyril Abiteboul is also confident that Alonso’s two-year hiatus from F1 will have had a positive bearing on the Spaniard’s fiery character.
“I think the years that he had away from the track have probably been an opportunity for him to reset, to actually measure how lucky or privileged we are all of us to operate and perform in Formula 1, and probably to come with a fresh set of mind,” Abiteboul told Motorsport.com.
“Let’s not forget how the competition can be toxic on people, on individuals, you know. No matter how hard you try, or how hard you work, you can’t win. And it’s the sport that is doing that.
“I’m not surprised that a sport that’s like that is creating this type of situation and therefore legacy, but that’s also why he [Alonso] was so interested in this new profile for the sport, and maybe the opportunity of bringing a new Fernando into a new F1.”

Everyone who’s attended a match or game in youth sports has experienced it—someone directing loud comments at a player, coach, referee, or even another fan. And while cheering on youth athletes has many positive aspects and should be encouraged, it can be a slippery slope from engaging in constructive morale-boosting to dishing out intrusive, verbal abuse.
A good rule of thumb is to ask would yelling be appropriate in a normal situation, says Mike Clayton, Manager of the National Coaches Education Program (NCEP) for USA Wrestling. If a child is doing something that could imminently injure him/herself, for example, that would warrant yelling to keep the athlete safe. But such cases, he notes, are rare.
“Unfortunately, most yelling isn’t designed to help the young athlete as much as it is to allow the adult to vent their frustrations,” Clayton says. “While that isn’t what the adult intends to communicate, the child still feels shame and fear. Kids release that shame and fear by often underperforming or by being angry in matches or practice.” Continue reading at www.teamusa.org
WWE 205 Live celebrates 100 episodes as Mustafa Ali & Hideo Itami collide in a No Disqualification Match that is sure to push both competitors to their physical and mental limits. Plus, Mike Kanellis makes his in-ring Cruiserweight division debut against Lince Dorado.
Mike Kanellis Makes His Cruiserweight Debut:
Two weeks ago, The WWE Universe was stunned when Mike Kanellis attacked Lince Dorado during The Golden Lynx’s battle with Lio Rush. Although The Man Of The Hour escaped unscathed, Kanellis unloaded on The Luchador, much to the delight of his wife, Maria. After the attack, WWE 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick expressed his discontent with Kanellis, explaining that the incident was not how they agreed Mike would make his debut.
Regardless of what Maverick wanted, Kanellis certainly made waves. When the couple addressed the attack last week, Kanellis regarded the attack as just “business,” and Maria referred to her husband as “the opportunist” by taking advantage of his invitation to join The Cruiserweight Division. The self-proclaimed Power Couple of WWE 205 Live made their WWE Cruiserweight Championship ambitions clear, but first Kanellis has to face Lince Dorado tonight!
Mustafa Ali & Hideo Itami Ready To Push Each Other To The Brink:
When Hideo Itami & Mustafa Ali first squared off in August, Itami took advantage of his opponent’s physical exhaustion and decimated him, forcing WWE 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick to sideline The Heart Of WWE 205 Live to give him time to recover. A few weeks later, a rejuvenated Ali returned and was ready to throw down with his Japanese nemesis.
The second battle between the two Superstars came last month, and there was certainly no love lost between them. The resilience of each competitor – as well as the unfiltered animosity between the two — was on full display during the back-and-forth brawl. The battle ended after Ali executed a 450 splash onto Itami on the ring apron, and neither Superstar could answer the referee’s 10-count.
Tonight, Ali and Itami will clash once again, this time in a No Disqualification Match. While Itami takes pleasure in causing pain and suffering, Ali’s pride fuels his fighting spirit, and he’s prepared to walk down this uncharted road against the hard-hitting Japanese Superstar.
Will Mustafa Ali emerge victorious, or will Hideo Itami force The Heart Of WWE 205 Live to the sidelines once more? Find out on The 100th Episode of WWE 205 Live, tonight!

It was previously reported that Bobby Lashley has been dealing with an injury for the past few weeks and as per The Observer, the actual issue is that he has a separated shoulder which has been causing him a lot of pain. It wasn’t noted whether Lashley would continue working through the injury or if he would be taking time off to rehab, but he has been rumored to be participating in The WWE World Cup Tournament in place of John Cena, so it would appear as if he will remain active.
Samoa Joe is dealing with an undisclosed injury and is currently being kept out of in-ring action, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He hasn’t been on TV since losing to Jeff Hardy in a World Cup Qualifying Match on October 9th and isn’t expected to wrestle this weekend despite being advertised. The rumor on his injury is that it is related to his foot as he was spotted walking with boots backstage at SmackDown LIVE.
