Donald Trump has announced his 2020 election slogan will be "Keep America Great!"

The US president, speaking at a a rally in the industrial heartland of Pennsylvania, said: "We can’t say ‘Make America Great Again’ because I already did that. I can’t use that in three years, two-and-half years, it’s close.

"I’m almost positive, you can never be 100 per cent sure, but our new slogan when we start running is going to be ‘Keep America Great…exclamation mark."

Mr Trump added: "I look forward to 2020 because I want to see how far left the person we’re running against is going to be."

In a speech that was peripatetic even by Mr Trump’s standards he also railed against the European Union on tariffs, which he called "my baby," said he hoped for the "greatest deal" with North Korea, and strongly advocated the death penalty for drug dealers.

The president, speaking to thousands of raucous supporters in an airport hangar near Pittsburgh, also said he would love to run against Oprah Winfrey in 2020 because he "knows her weakness".

Amid allegations of an affair with a porn star, which he denies, Mr Trump also lavished praise on his wife Melania, calling her an "amazing first lady" and adding:  "You think her life is so easy folks? Not so easy."

At one point he accused the media of portraying him as "some kind of Neanderthal," before countering: "I’m really smart."

Next Tuesday’s election has become a huge focus of attention as Mr Saccone is losing in a district that voted for Mr Trump by 20 percentage points in 2016.

A Republican loss could signal a bloodbath in the November mid-term elections. Mr Trump’s recent announcement of 25 per cent tariffs on steel, and 10 per cent on aluminum, was released at least in part to shore up support for Mr Saccone among current and former steel workers.

Mr Trump gave an impassioned defence of his tariffs and was drowned out by cheers as he vilified the EU.

He said: "Now, all these countries are ringing up…a lot of you are originally from EU countries, that sounds nice, but the EU they kill us on trade."

Addressing the EU directly he said: "Open up the barriers and get rid of your tariffs, and if you don’t do that we’re going to tax Mercedes Benz, we’re going to tax BMWs. Cars are the big money item."

Mr Trump was then drowned out by supporters as he appeared to mention other EU products to tax.

He went on to accuse countries of banding together to "screw the US" on trade, adding: "With the EU we’re like $100 billion down on trade because we had stupid politicians.

"EU sounds so innocent…it’s not innocent. They are very tough and very smart. They have artificial barriers. Not just tariffs, environment and other things like you wouldn’t believe. You can’t get your product in."

Mr Trump added: "We’re saving the steel and a lot of steel mills are now opening up. Not all my friends on Wall Street love it, but we love it. Many plants have announced over the last few days they’re opening. Steel is back! And aluminum is back!"

He said the steel other countries had been dumping in America was "crap," adding: "Your steel is coming back, it’s all coming back. The great American comeback continues full speed ahead."

Mr Trump spoke near two giant signs saying "Promises Made" and "Promises Kept". He added: "It’s not easy in Washington DC, you’ve got a lot of evil there but we’re getting it out."

The audience was an enthusiastic one, bursting into chants of "USA, USA", loudly and repeatedly jeering the assembled media, and raising the roof at any mention of steel tariffs.

Veering wildly off script Mr Trump mocked the idea of being "presidential" saying it was "easy and boring".

He said: "If I came like a stiff you guys wouldn’t come here tonight."

Donald Trump has unleashed a Hobbesian trade war

Referring to "sleepy eyes" Chuck Todd, a prominent US TV journalist, he added: "He’s a sleeping son of a b–c, I’ll tell you."

He also called Maxine Waters, a Democrat congresswoman who has called for his impeachment, a "very low IQ individual".

In a lengthy description of how his decision to meet with Kim Jong-un came about, Mr Trump lambasted previous presidents, adding: "Who else could do it honestly (but me)?" He also gave credit to President Xi Jinping of China.

Mr Trump said: "They (North Korea) are not sending missiles up, I believe that they want to make peace. It’s time. And I think we’ve shown great strength. I think that’s also important.

Mr Trump was enthusiastic about the death penalty for drug dealers, saying he had asked leaders of both China and Singapore about how they dealt with the problem.

He said: "Probably you’ll have some people say that’s not nice, but these people are killing our kids and we have to do something. We can’t just keep setting up committees."

Turning to potential 2020 rivals he said: "I’d love Oprah to run, I’d love to beat Oprah. I know her weakness, I know her weakness. That would be a painful experience for her."

He then launched into an extended attack on Mr Saconne’s Democrat opponent Conor Lamb, a 33-year-old US Marine, saying he was "weak" on crime, immigration, and gun rights.

Mr Lamb has outspokenly supported Mr Trump’s steel tariffs.

Mr Trump said: "For getting your vote he’s backing tariffs which is my baby. I appreciate his nice words about me, this is Trump country so he says nice things about me. Smart. But don’t be conned by this guy Lamb."

After calling him "Lamb the sham" Mr Trump added: "I hear he’s nice looking. I think I’m better looking than him though.”

Fans that were hoping to see Kevin Nash on the WWE Monday Night Raw 25th anniversary show will have to wait until WrestleMania weekend.
Nash recently underwent knee replacement surgery. It’s a surgery that he’s needed for 33 years and he is still recovering so it wouldn’t be smart for him to board a plane so soon.

Sorry the walking video was poor quality. Here’s a photo during my surgery. Much clearer. Enjoy the Walking Dead clarity

Not to pretty, but its straight. Let it heal and start training. Amazing process. Sore as fu*k but finally fixed after 33 years

Nash wrote on Twitter: “Was so looking forward to being a part of RAW 25. It’s nearly impossible to travel on our down sized airlines healthy. With a total knee replacement it would be self inflicted torture. See ya everyone at Mania.”

Off the mat, an even fiercer fight

At home meets, wrestling fans vote on the coaches’ personal style.

Gophers wrestling matches at the Sports Pavilion usually start off with a 125-pound bout.

If head assistant coach Brandon Eggum had his way, though, the matches would instead kick off with a fashion show.

A catwalk, flashing lights, bumping walk-out music — anything that would allow the Gophers coaching staff to “strut their stuff” down the runway in the name of winning best-dressed. Continue reading at www.mndaily.com

It’s been reported by Pwinsider.com and Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live that WWE originally planned for former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore to face Goldust in the third hour of WWE Raw 25.
It would’ve led to The Dudley Boyz returning to stop The Zo Train from beating down Goldust and Cedric Alexander.
However, those plans were changed once WWE announced Enzo’s suspension for the rape allegations that came out of Phoenix.

WWE then had to re-write the show around 7pm EST with The Dudleys returning after Rhyno & Heath Slater lost to Titus O’Neil and Apollo Crews.

Michael Cole, Corey Graves, and Booker T have served as the Raw commentary team for months now. Meanwhile, former WWE broadcaster Jonathan Coachman has been making occasional appearances in the company, but ever since he left ESPN last year, several fans have wondered if Coachman could be coming back to WWE full time. Indeed, WWE has confirmed that “The Coach” will be returning as part of the Raw commentary team. Coachman will be taking over Booker T’s spot as the WWE Hall of Famer will now be used as a panelist during kickoff shows. Coachman will be calling the action starting on Raw tonight, and he will continue to do so going forward.

After weeks of speculation, Ethan Carter III finally arrived in WWE this past weekend as part of the NXT roster. Carter had been rumored to join WWE for a while, but Bobby Lashley’s in-ring future after leaving Impact Wrestling was initially not quite as clear. Although he had been negotiating with New Japan Pro Wrestling, Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that those talks have fallen through. Lashley will likely be returning to WWE very soon to begin a feud with Brock Lesnar. Although Lesnar’s contract with WWE expires in April, it is believed that the company will be extending his deal until at least August. Expect to see Lashley back in a WWE ring (possibly against Brock Lesnar) very soon.
Dolph Ziggler confusingly won the United States Champion back in December during the Clash of Champions pay-per-view before surrendering the title two nights later on Smackdown. He had not appeared on television at all ever since, but he did return during the men’s Royal Rumble match last night at entrant #30. PWInsider has reported that this was not the plan for Ziggler’s return, but he was instead supposed to accept Bobby Roode’s open challenge for the US title during the Royal Rumble Kickoff show. The company eventually decided to have Mojo Rawley accept Roode’s open challenge. Not long after entering the ring, Ziggler was eliminated by Finn Balor. The report mentions that Ziggler will be appearing on Smackdown this week.

After a short video featuring EC3 ended tonight’s Slammiversary event, it was confirmed that he will appear on Impact this Tuesday.

Slammiversary ended tonight with a short video that showed EC3 throwing a glass into a wall that displayed the roman numeral III. Later on social media, Impact tweeted a picture of the wall and indicated that EC3 will appear on Impact this Tuesday on AXS TV.

EC3 was one of many who were cut by WWE back in April. Once his no-compete ended at midnight EST on July 18, he streamed a video on his YouTube account. The video showed EC3 heading to the ring and attacking another wrestler in what looked like a garage setting. The video ended with EC3 saying “you have been warned”.

A number of talent either made their return or debuted on tonight’s Slammiversary event including Eric Young, The Motor City Machine Guns, The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows), and Heath Slater.

Rich Swann, who was out with a knee injury, also returned tonight, taking part in the main event.

The effects of the recent late June COVID-19 outbreak in WWE continue to be felt as a Monday report indicated more WWE workers have tested positive.

Pro Wrestling Sheet cited sources that said during before last week’s most recent round of TV tapings, “additional people in WWE” tested positive. The PWS report said 30 total people have tested positive over the last three weeks, but we have heard that number might be closer to 40 as of a week ago.

After the recent outbreak, WWE decided to start administering COVID-19 tests and have done approximately 1500 according to the report. They will continue to do the testing for the foreseeable future. They also instituted a mask policy on Friday for everyone in the Performance Center that isn’t on camera with non-compliance resulting in fines.

Only a handful of personnel have come forward that they tested positive including Renee Young, Kayla Braxton, Adam Pearce, and Jamie Noble.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is speculating that Jason Jordan’s spot at WrestleMania is not a dead issue yet.
Jordan underwent a procedure known as a microdiscectomy, which can allow the patient to return to light work after 1-2 weeks, light recreational sports after 1 month, and possible heavy lifting and sports activities in 1-2 months. So there is a chance for Jason Jordan to make it back for WrestleMania. It would obviously be better for WWE if he beats that timeline to work him back into the build up for the Show of Shows in New Orleans.
