Rundown
Brock Lesnar Promo
Go out of your way to Watch. Paul Heyman comes out with his typical Heyman-esque vigor and he calls the main event of WrestleMania 36 a sham. Paul says Drew McIntyre is an overhyped fraud and his Rumble performance was the result of Ricochet hoofing Lesnar in the testicles. As he calls Drew a stupid bitch who will get squashed at ‘Mania, Drew’s music hits and McIntyre comes to the ring to stare a hole through Lesnar. Brock slowly retreats, but quickly darts towards Drew causing the most beautiful moment we’ll witness on the Road to WrestleMania: Lesnar is immediately hit with the Claymore, which he sells masterfully. The crowd chants “you deserve it” and “na na na na” as a stunned and dishevelled Lesnar slowly makes his way out of the ring… only to be devastated with two more Claymores at the top of the ramp. It was an absolutely star-making moment. McIntyre is over as hell and that opening segment was magical.

Street Profits vs Seth Rollins & Murphy
Raw Tag Team Championship
Watch. Rollins and Murphy get the jump on the Street Profits before the match can even start, leading to Ford being smashed spine first into the barricade. Once the match officially got under way, only Dawkins remained as Ford was still splayed to the outside. Dawkins fought off Rollins and Murphy long enough for a recovered Ford to get the hot tag. He comes out flying with his trademark high flying offense, hitting a particularly sweet cross body. Eventually, Rollins calls for the AOP to come down to the ring, but the ref sees them and tosses them before they can put their hands on the Street Profits. While the official is distracted by tossing out the AOP, Kevin Owens comes in to hit a Stunner on Rollins. A Frog Splash by Ford and the Street Profits are your new RAW Tag Team Champions. This was another great segment boosted by an incredibly hot Brooklyn crowd.

Ricochet vs Riddick Moss
24/7 Championship
Pass. Yikes. This does not bode well for Ricochet. From being squashed by Lesnar at Super ShowDown to a 24/7 Championship match against a guy who the Brooklyn crowd had to chant, “Who are you?” at. Ricochet keeps trying to hype himself and the crowd up, but Moss ends up hitting him with a neck breaker to retain the title. Now, if WWE is in the beginnings of setting up a rock-bottom storyline for Ricochet then this makes sense. If not, this is a major problem for a hell of a wrestler, but one without a tonne of charisma.

Aleister Black vs AJ Styles
Watch. After a long-winded promo by Styles who laments his Super ShowDown loss to The Undertaker and a video by Mark Wahlberg for some reason, Aleister Black finally meets The OC leader in the ring. Styles informs Black that the contract he signed dictated that Black needed to get through Karl Anderson before being able to face him. A few minutes and a Black Mass later and finally AJ Styles comes in the ring… to of course tell Black he has to fight Luke Gallows as well. After a few more minutes of grappling, Gallows starts laying into an exhausted Black in the corner, ignoring the officials demands to stop and leading to a DQ finish. Finally, AJ Styles comes in and starts picking the bones, hitting a Back-breaker, Brain-buster and eventually a Phenomenal Forearm. As Black lies prone in the middle of the ring, AJ grabs his arms, and mocks The Undertaker’s signature pin for the win.

Liv Morgan vs Ruby Riott
Skip. The Riott Squad is back together as Sarah Logan guest officiates the other two feuding former members. The whole match is used to build tension between Riott and Logan which eventually boils over in the finish. After Riott pushes Logan, Morgan rolls Riott up and gets the win via a fast count. Ruby berates her other former teammate for the screw job, which Morgan uses as a chance to hit her with a step-up enziguri. Logan and Morgan smile at each other, until Logan blasts her with a running knee to stand tall at the end of the segment.

The Big Reveal
Watch. The biggest running mystery on RAW is finally answered. No, not why Randy Orton attacked Edge, you idiot. We finally saw what was in Erick Rowan’s cage! It was a big fake spider. Jesus Christ this was dumb. Just watch it so you can cringe as hard as I did.

Kairi Sane vs Shayna Baszler
Pass. In a stroke of luck, Asuka is injured for this so she can’t just be squashed by Baszler. The match starts off competitively enough, but Baszler begins to get nasty, stomping on Sane’s leg while staring down Asuka. Shayna continues to twist on Kairi’s knee until Becky Lynch’s music hits and “The Man” appears at the top of the ramp, but only to watch the beatdown on commentary. Lynch seems to heel it up on commentary, coming out wearing a crown and talking about how great she is. Baszler eventually locks on the Kirafuda clutch and chokes out Sane, tossing her limp body to the mat while Becky holds her belt up at her. Unfortunately, this one wasn’t as good as these two competitors can be and the crowd wasn’t feeling it. This one fell limper than the choked-out Kairi Sane.

Rey Mysterio and Humberto Carrillo vs Angel Garza and Andrade
Watch. This was a Lucha-style showcase between four super talented wrestlers. The team of Andrade and Garza heel it up perfectly, with Andrade faking an injury allowing Garza to sweep Carrillo’s legs behind the ref’s back. The two work on Carrillo until he is finally able to get to Mysterio for the hot tag. The legend comes out flying hitting a seated senton and a round-the-world DDT. There are just too many spots in the match to list them all. Mysterio hitting Garza and Andrade with a simultaneous 619, leads to Carrillo hitting a moonsault on Andrade in the centre of the ring for the win.

Beth Phoenix Edge Medical Update
Watch. As Beth prepares to give her medical update, Orton’s music kicks in and out slithers “The Viper” to confront Phoenix. Orton comes in and tries to hug Phoenix, which she obviously declines. She calls Randy a son of a bitch, who then sits on the top rope, allowing her to give the update on Edge. As she begins to start berating Randy he jumps off the top rope and grabs a mic. Orton begins to pour his heart out, telling a story about his father, the first time he met Edge, team Rated-RKO and more.

He says it was Edge who saved his life… so he decided to return the favour. Orton says he did it to save Edge from himself. So that some young wrestler wanting to make a name for himself wouldn’t have been the one to put Edge in a wheel chair. He then turns on Phoenix, calling her an enabler. Saying this was all her fault. Phoenix slaps Orton, who stares her down, calls her a bitch, who then kicks him in the nuts, and then he RKO’s her. This was perfect… except for the Brooklyn crowd who cheered the entire thing, because wrestling fans are awful smarks.
They give Phoenix the stretcher job to end the show on a downer.

Daniel Bryan is getting another shot at “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt.

Bryan became the number one contender to Wyatt’s Universal Championship by defeating The Miz and Baron Corbin in a triple threat number one contender’s match on last night’s SmackDown. Bryan will get his title shot at the Royal Rumble on January 26.

The number one contender’s match came down to Bryan vs. Miz after Roman Reigns attacked Corbin and they brawled to the back. Corbin appeared to have the match won due to interference by Dolph Ziggler prior to that.

Reigns also attacked Corbin in the opening segment, and the storyline was that Corbin refused to compete until he thought Reigns was gone from the building.

6th title in row for Belchatow

July 2, 2020 | News | No Comments

PGE Skra Belchatow won sixth title of Polish champions in row after beating Jasrzebski Wegiel in final duel with result 3:1.  Asseco Resovia gained a bronze medal after winning with ZAKSA Kedzierzyn Kozle 3:2.

FINAL – Skra Belchatow vs Jastrzebski Wegiel 3:2  (388:376)
Particular matches:
Skra Belchatow  vs  Jastrzebski Wegiel    2:3   (18:25, 16:25, 25:20, 28:26, 12:15)
Skra Belchatow  vs  Jastrzebski Wegiel    3:1   (25:22, 19:25, 25:18, 27:25)
Jastrzebski Wegiel  vs  Skra Belchatow    0:3   (22:25, 22:25, 25:27)
Jastrzebski Wegiel vs    Skra Belchatow      2:3   (18:25, 30:28, 25:23, 21:25, 11:15)

The first match was very exciting. The beginning seemed as if hosts didn’t get over after the failure in the Champions League. Jastrzebie easily won two first sets and it looked like the match would end in three sets. However hosts didn’t let it come true and in the third set they got themselves together. As a result Skra led up to tie-break.
At the beginning of 5th set Skra was winning 8:5 but everything changed when Pavel Abramov turned up on the serve. Due to his services team from Jastrzebie won at last with result 15:12.  For his good attitude in the entire match, especially for staying calm in tiebreak, Abramov Pavel received the MVP award.
Unfortunately for Jastrzebie it was their first and the last won match against Skra in the fight for gold. In two next matches Skra didn’t give up and showed their stuff. In both meetings the MVP title fell to Mariusz Wlazly’s hands.
The fourth and last match also ended in the tiebreak, however it looked totally different than the first duel. This match was extremely level-pegging and very hard-fought. It vas hard to predict who will win. The second set of this meeting was the most excited because it ended with result 30:28 with the victory of Jastrzebie.
In the third set in the team from Jastrzebie, a coach Roberto Santilli did the  very good substitution. In the team of hosts, on the court instead of Igor Yudin appeared Pedro Azenha who blocked four attacks of players from Belchatow in the row. Skra  dropped behind and lost set  23: 25.
Two next sets everything went Belchatow’s way , the last set of the match was finished by Michal Winiarski who was chosen MVP of this game.
Thereby PGE Skra Belchatow won the third final match and  got the title of Polish champion at season 2009/2010!
As many emotions as players provided to fans referees did too, especially in the second duel. Many experts, competitors as well as  fans complained about the lack of the challenge (hawk eye) system. However it doesn’t change the fact that Skra gained  title after long and hard fight.

Matches for bronze medal:  ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle  vs  Resovia Rzeszow  2:3  (421:406)
Particular matches:
ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle  vs  Resovia Rzeszow    3:0    (25:13, 25:18, 25:23)
MVP: Wojciech Kazmierczak
ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle  vs  Resovia Rzeszow    3:1    (19:25, 25:18, 25:17, 25:16)
MVP: Jurij Gladyr
Resovia Rzeszow  vs  ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle    3:2    (25:27, 18:25, 27:25, 25:23, 15:10)
MVP: Ivan Ilic
Resovia Rzeszow  vs  ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle    3:1    (25:19, 25:21, 15:25, 25:17)
MVP: Aleh Akhrem
ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle  vs  Resovia Rzeszow    0:3    (21:25, 15:25, 24:26)
MVP: Mikko Oivanen

The fact that Resovia got out of the trouble in which  was after two lost matches can make impression not only on fans. After 22 years bronze medals again went to Rzeszow.
Resovia made the impossible thing in which hardly anyone believed after two first matches in Kedzierzyn. Resovia played there badly and ZAKSA easily achieved two victories.Rzeszow was in the difficult situation – in rivalry for a bronze medal was losing 0: 2. In the third match, in which they were hosts, their opponent – ZAKSA already led 2: 0 and 23:17 in the third set, so to get bronze they needed only two points. Then a  striking twist took place. Players from Rzeszow won this match, and then also a duel number four.
The fifth meeting looked precisely as predicted capitan of Resovia- Krzysztof Gierczynski. From the first ball it was the match of  his team. They dictated rules of that game and all the time they controlled the situation. The lost third match in Rzeszow probably all the time was in hosts’ minds who started with series of mistakes. Players from Rzeszow were in their element, almost everything what they did came out well, totally different than during  the last visit in Kedzierzyn. After all Resovia won in the duel for 3rd a place after five matches – 3: 2. In the last meeting they beated ZAKSA in three sets.

Who is staying, who is leaving?
In the next season we won’t see in PlusLiga AZS Politechnika Warszawska which lost duel in play out against Jadar Radom.
Instead of this team in PlusLiga will play Fart Kielce which was on the first place in I league.
Fight for playing in  PlusLiga in the next season between Jadar Radom and Trefl Gdansk was won by  volleyball players from Radom.

Manheim, Pennsylvania – Last week’s college wrestling schedule was anything but predictable. With 30 of the 71 duals featuring ranked teams, Division I college started settling into their dual meet schedules and it seemed no ranking, except maybe Iowa’s, was safe. Eleven different ranked teams got beat last week, creating another modest shake-up in the NWCA Division I Wrestling Coaches Poll on Tuesday.

Iowa (6-0) remained a unanimous No. 1 after shutting out Indiana and then-No. 18 Purdue by identical 41-0 scores. Penn State (5-1) sat numerous starters over the weekend, but still navigated past a pair of Big Ten opponents. The Nittany Lions topped Illinois 22-16 before beating then-No. 13 Northwestern 30-9. Penn State’s move up to No. 2 was aided by No. 8 Wisconsin’s 25-18 home win over Nebraska on Sunday. Nebraska slid seven spots, while Wisconsin stayed put at No. 8, mostly in part to the Badgers’ 20-14 loss at then-No. 15 Minnesota on Friday. The Gophers jumped up to No. 11 this week.

Virginia Tech (6-0) hammered West Virginia 36-3 over the weekend and the Hokies moved up to No. 3 in the poll, tied for the school’s highest ranking ever. The only other time Virginia Tech was ranked No. 3 was to close out the 2015-16 season.

The rest of the top 10 shakes out with Ohio State fourth, followed by NC State, Arizona State, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Oklahoma State, and Pittsburgh. It’s the sixth straight week the ACC has seen three of its teams ranked in the Top 10, which had never previously occurred prior to this season.

Ohio State beat then-No. 24 Rutgers 22-13, NC State beat then-No. 12 Princeton 29-12 and Arizona State swept a quad with Harvard, Campbell, and then-No. 11 Iowa State at Chase Field, home of Major League Baseball’s Arizona Diamondbacks in the first college wrestling dual to take place inside an MLB stadium. Oklahoma State won nine of ten bouts and beat Northern Colorado 36-3.

Most of the movement came from 11-25. Lehigh moved up two spots to No. 12 after beating No. 19 Cornell. Cornell did earn one victory, a 27-12 win over Ivy League foe Columbia. North Carolina also beat Princeton, sending the Tar Heels up four spots to No. 13. Purdue split a pair of weekend matches but moved up four spots primarily on the strength of their 21-13 win over then-No. 13 Northwestern.

Campbell re-entered the Top 25 at No. 21 after knocking off Iowa State at Chase Field over the weekend. It was the first of three unranked teams to beat ranked opponents over the weekend. The Camels are ranked for just the second time in school history and No. 21 is the highest in school history. As a result, Iowa State slid six spots to No. 16. Princeton’s 0-for-2 weekend in North Carolina dropped the Tigers to No. 17. Northern Iowa was also bitten by the upset bug as South Dakota State came into West Gym and beat the Panthers 25-13. UNI did beat Missouri, while Missouri beat Ohio. Rider won the Virginia Duals and re-entered the poll after a 20-12 win over No. 22 Virginia in Hampton.

Methodology: The NWCA Division I Wrestling Coaches Poll is voted on by two coaches from each Division I wrestling conference. Each first-place vote is worth 25 points, 24 points for a second-place vote, 23 for a third-place vote and so on through to one point for a 25th-place vote. The poll is based on dual meet results.

How to bet on Champions League?

July 2, 2020 | News | No Comments

Volleyball Champions League 2010/2011 is here. Do you think you can make some money by betting on Champions League? Sure it is not easy task but with our advices you will have bigger chance.

First of all let me explain the system of Champions League. I think most of you know it. 24 teams are divided in 6 pools. Every team play home and away matches with 3 opponents. Two best teams from the league round will advance in Play-offs 12, then Play-offs 6 and Final four tournament.

Here are my advices…Who should you believe?
First of all we have Trentino – two times champion from the last two editions of CHL. Trento is again the no.1 favorite of Champions League. Goal of R. Stoychev team is to win the best european cup again. Other favorites are Russian Kazan and Italian Cuneo. Both teams are the champions of the domestic leagues. We can not forget Belchatow and Friedrichshafen. These two teams are always in the play-offs of Champions League.

Now let´s see every pool… Kazan is for sure the team to win Pool A. AS Cannes or CSKA Sofia should be the second team to advance to next round. Cuneo and Maaseik are the favorites in Pool B. Pool C is more complicated. Bled qualified for the Final Four in the previous season. Headcoach G. Hoag and some players left the team. Jastrzebski is not as strong as in the last season. Also Olympiacos is not performing well in Greek league. And Budva is a team which can surprise.

The “worst” pool for betting is pool D. Fantastic Trento, Polish champion Belchatow and dangerous Fridriechshafen will fight for two spots in next round. Trento never lose game at home. It is not easy to win even in Belchatow or Fridrichshafen. Belgorod and Treviso should qualify from Pool E and Dynamo Moscow is the best team on paper in pool F.

November 16 is the start day of the Champions League 2010/2011.

New episodes of Straight Up Steve Austin are coming to the USA Network this summer.

A marvelous game in pool A. France sparked to 3-1 win over Brazil and revenged for Friday’s sucker failure. “Les Bleues’’ totally dominated the backcourt with excellent digs of Jenia Grebennikov and all rest of French and perfect counterattacks completed by Ervin Ngapeth. As a result, Brazil was inefficient in spiking.

Brazil – France 1 – 3 (27-29, 25-23, 22-25, 19-25)

Brazil: Bruno 2, Dante 3, Eder 11,Wallace 12, Lucarelli 21, Lucas 15, Mario Jr. (L) and Vissitto 2, William, Mauricio Silva 5, Mauricio Souza
France: Toniutti 2, Lyneel 12, Hardy-Dessources 11, Sidibe 18, Ngapeth 26, Le Roux 8, Grebennikov (L) and Rafael Redwitz, Moreau 1

Setter Bruno Rezende´s serve gave Brazil the lead (6-4) in the beginning of the set. The serve and block of France started to work and the Europeans jumped ahead (11-9). They then streaked ahead with three points in a row.  Les Bleues and all seemed to be fine when the Friday’s evil spirits returned and France wasted the full advantage with mistakes of Kevin Le Roux and successful Brazil’s blocks (24-24). Then, Canarinhos even came out ahead, but France regained the lead and finally closed  the first set with a block of middle blocker Le Roux, who repaid his guilt (29-27).

Brazil jumped to a 8-6 lead in the second set. God defenses and serves got the Europeans 18-15 in front, but scarely did they gained the break, when the mentor, Bernardo Rezende, made a double classic substitution with William and Vissotto on the court what resulted a draw. Later, there were a compensated fight till 22-23 for France. The offspring of Napoleon lost one point and then Rafael Redwitz (brought in earlier) set up two first tempos in a row, but both missed by Kevin Le Roux.

France got back better in the third set going 9-6 and 16-13 up. Brazil was not able to exert pressure on opponent’s receivers by its serve. While Julian Lyneel absolutely took advantage a block and Ervin Ngapeth ridiculed a giant Vissotto. Brazil improved in the end of the set but the Europeans hold the advantage and won the set 25-22.

The fourth set was close. In the first technical time out, Brazil had the lead (8-7). France improved in the set and got the lead (11-10). France continue the momentum in the set, going 19-16 and closing the set 25-19 and the match 3-1.

French spiker Earvin Ngapeth was the match’s top scorer with 26 points. Ricardo Lucarelli led the Brazilian scoring with 21 points.

PWTorch editor Wade Keller presents a special Thursday Flagship edition of the Wade Keller Pro Wrestling Podcast featuring a WrestleMania 36 Preview with ex-WWE Creative Team member and professional stand-up comedian Matt McCarthy.

PWTorch sources have confirmed that Steve Corino, who was serving as a producer at NXT as well as booking the live events on the Florida loop, has been moved up to work behind the scenes at Raw and Smackdown. PWTorch learned several weeks ago that Corino’s role had expanded and he recently finished up as a coach at NXT. Corino’s role at the WWE PC will be filled by Johnny Moss according to sources.

Corino recently began booking the Raw and Smackdown live events with Michael Hayes. In addition to his duties booking live events, Corino now fills a variety of roles behind the scenes on the main roster, but PWTorch has learned that he will only produce at NXT TV tapings and Takeover specials for now. One source described Corino as a good utility player that isn’t a star, but can do a number of things well for the team.

Corino is well liked behind the scenes by those that work with him according to PWTorch sources and is seen as a someone that has a great mind for wrestling. His knowlege will now be put to use in a variety or roles across NXT, Smackdown, and Raw.

Radican’s Analysis: Corino was a well-liked coach at NXT and he produced some of the more memorable matches on Takeover over the course of the last year. His ascension to the main roster is a sign that he’s seen as a valuable player behind the scenes for WWE.

Although he listed himself as a WWE producer in his bio on Twitter recently, he is going to be filling numerous roles on the main roster and only helping to produce matches if he needed. Otherwise, he will only produce at NXT TV tapings and Takeover specials. It will be interesting to see what Corino does next, as WWE has given him a lot of different responsibilities across their three main brands.

Humberto Carrillo’s challenge to Andrade has been accepted, as the two will face off at the Royal Rumble this Sunday.

WWE confirmed today that Andrade will defend the WWE United States title against Humberto Carrillo this Sunday. Following his return on Monday night, Humberto Carrillo issued a challenge to Andrade on social media, saying that if Andrade wanted to pick on someone, he should pick on him.

In storyline, Carrillo was gone for a month following a hammerlock DDT into exposed concrete by Andrade during a gauntlet match that was to determine the next challenger for the United States title. Andrade ended up defeating Rey Mysterio for the United States title later in December.

Mysterio and Andrade squared off in a ladder match this past Monday on Raw. Andrade was able to hold on to the title thanks to interference from his business manager Zelina Vega. The Royal Rumble will take place this Sunday at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.
