Earlier today, it was reported that WWE has signed 22-year-old diva Tenille Tayla to a developmental contract.

The SHIMMER promotion, where Tayla used to work, sent out the following announcement today confirming the news:

Everyone at SHIMMER – WOMEN ATHLETES would like to congratulate Tenille on signing a developmental contract with World Wrestling Entertainment.

The Melbourne, Australia native relocated to Calgary, Alberta, Canada to train under Lance Storm at Storm Wrestling Academy prior to expanding her schedule to include competing regularly for both SHIMMER and ECCW in the Vancouver area in 2009.

Tenille will also be featured on the reality television series “World of Hurt” which completed filming prior to her signing with WWE.

Best of luck to Tenille on her future in professional wrestling!

— Kurt Angle commented on Jeff Hardy yesterday on Twitter.

“I Love Jeff Hardy as a Wrestler and a Man. He is talented and works harder than Anyone. I Hope He can turn it around and overcome obstacles,” he wrote. “Jeff- You r in my thoughts and Prayers. You always have a Friend You can go to. GOD Bless.”

— Robbie E. beat Bobby Shields in a dark match prior to Tuesday’s iMPACT! taping. Monday night, Jake Tarr lost to Douglas Williams in a dark match. Both Shields and Tarr are students of Taz’s Team Taz Finishing Camp, which fine-tune’s in-ring abilities and promo skills.

— A TNA Xplosion match pitting Mickie James against Rosita was taped last night in Orlando, Florida.

— The March 24 episode of WWE Superstars on WGN America scored a 0.57 cable rating, with 544,000 viewers. The midnight replay did a 0.17 rating with 140,000 viewers.

— Wade Barrett captured the WWE Intercontinental Championship from Kofi Kingston on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown.

Just as Kingston was about to hit Trouble in Paradise on Barrett, The Corre member countered with Wasteland. Seconds later, her captured his first championship in WWE. Justin Gabriel hit Kingston with the 450 Splash following the match.

— Sin Cara made his WWE debut at tonight’s Raw live event at Assembly Hall in Champaign, Illinois, defeating Primo.

A fan in attendance said that while his performance was “solid”, he doesn’t know how to work a “WWE style” match. He also performed about eight headscissors variations.

— Following Vladimir Kozlov’s victory over Tyler Reks yesterday at WrestleMania Axxess, The Corre attacked the Raw Superstar. The faction used the steel steps to crush The Moscow Mauler’s shoulder against the ring post.

Via WWE.com, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long announced that – as a result of the assault – Kozlov would not be able to compete in the Eight-Man Tag Team Match at WrestleMania XXVII. Instead, Kofi Kingston will assume his position.

— Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be personally giving away free tickets to WrestleMania XXVII. He posted a clue last night on Twitter for fans to be around the Georgia Dome today at noon. He will be releasing more clues in the morning.

— Mark Henry beat Primo this morning at WrestleMania Axxess.

— WWE United States Champion Sheamus was on hand for a press conference yesterday promoting a Raw live event taking place in the country on April 23. Given that the Raw crew is flying out to Europe immediately following tonight’s Raw, there is a good chance he won’t be on hand for the event.

— Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is scheduled to appear on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! on April 19.

— WWE has released a Kofi Drop the Boom Authentic T-Shirt.

— Aksana beat AJ for the FCW Divas Championship at last Thursday’s FCW Wrestling television taping in Tampa, Florida. The NXT Season 3 contestant became the first person to simultaneously hold the Queen of FCW Crown and the FCW Divas Championship.

— Former WWE Divas Champion Jillian Hall returns to the ring for Family Wrestling Entertainment in Brooklyn, New York on May 14 at St. Finbar’s Gym. She will face TNA Knockout Winter in her return match. Tickets are on sale at fwewrestling.com. Eric Young will also be on hand for the event.

— Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson” appears on Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight on ABC.

— WWE is holding an event on November 11, 2011 at the O2 Arena in London, England. Tickets go on sale April 20, 2011.

— Former WWE star Jim Neidhart was arrested yesterday for driving without a license and for operating an unregistered vehicle after being pulled over at 1800 Orient Road in Tampa, Florida. He was released after paying a $750 surety bond.

— Shawn Michaels posted the following message on his Twitter account in response to Hulk Hogan giving him a shout out while hosting the National Spicy Chicken Taste Test yesterday in The Heartbreak Kid’s hometown of San Antonio, Texas.

He wrote, “Hear from u all the Hulkster’s in town. I hope our city is treating him well. I appreciate the shout out from him. Hope he is well.”

— Chris Sabin injured his knee during a match against Anarquia that aired on tonight’s episode of TNA iMPACT!.

The Motor City Machine Gun member attempted a springboard clothesline and tweaked his knee due to Anarchia being out of position to receive the move. The referee was instructed to end the bout when it appeared Sabin was injured. Anarchia performed a small package to conclude the match.

Mexican America beat down Sabin before Alex Shelley appeared to fend them off.

Former WWE Superstar Armando Estrada, who managed the late Umaga and worked as an on air-personality from 2006 to 2008, returned to WWE at Tuesday’s WWE SmackDown & Superstars tapings from Spokane, Washington.

Estrada will be managing Tyson Kidd, who wrestles Trent Baretta on Superstars.

Kidd recently enlisted the managing serves of Michael Hayes, but was dumped by Hayes on last week’s show after a disappointing loss to Yoshi Tatsu.

— Kurt Angle stated on his Twitter account yesterday that he is signing long-term contract with TNA Wrestling.

“I am signing a 3 1/2 Guarantee Contract with TNA,” he wrote. “I will be compensated Higher than Wwe. I am Proud to be in Tna. Thank You Dixie!!!”

Angle announced yesterday that TNA is allowing him to train for the Olympic Games. The 1996 Olympic gold medalist added, “I have a long road. I’m Humble but Confident. This is all about Proving at 43, I can still show I am a world Class competitor.”

— Angelina Love participated in a brief video interview over the weekend at “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka’s Birthday Bash. She discussed how she how she got to be in the position she is in and what her future goal in TNA is. She said since she’s already won the TNA Women’s Knockout Championship, she’d like to be like Ric Flair and win it 15 times.

— Triple H is advertised for WWE’s upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view event, which takes place July 17 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. He’s listed amongst the advertised talent in an email sent out by WWE.

— Former ECW talent James Maritato (a/k/a Nunzio) has signed a talent contract with WWE after working a few months as a referee at various events.

— John Cena, Randy Orton and Big Show vs. CM Punk, The Miz and Alberto Del Rio is advertised for this Saturday’s WWE Supershow at the Yakima Valley SunDome in Yakima, Washington.

— WWE.com has posted new studio photos of Maryse.
