WWE has released two new entrance videos for the upcoming WWE 2K20 video game, the first featuring former Women’s Tag Team Champion Nikki Cross, and the other former NXT UK Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley.

All Elite Wrestling superstars Sammy Guevara, Santana and Ortiz will represent the Inner Circle this Friday night at Bellator 231. Marc Raimondi of ESPN reports that the group will accompany heavyweight Jake Hager (2-0-0) to the ring for his fight against Anthony Garrett (4-2-0)
Hager debuted with AEW on the series premier of Dynamite earlier this month, joining up with Chris Jericho’s eclectic stable. It was the first time the former World Heavyweight Champion was featured on major primetime television wrestling since leaving WWE in 2017 – although he is technically still the Lucha Underground Champion, with a major role in the show’s final season.
Garrett will be the most experienced foe that Hager, 37, has faced thus far in his MMA career. He debuted in January earlier this year submitting J.W. Kiser (2-0-0) with an arm triangle submission in the first round. Four months later he did the same to T.J. Jones (1-2-0).

The bout will open the main card on Friday night at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT – just about an hour away from his former employer’s world headquarters. Bellator 231 will be headlined by a battle of juggernauts, as former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir (18-13-0) faces “Big Country” Roy Nelson (23-17).

WWE held a media event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this morning ahead of Thursday’s Crown Jewel pay-per-view, featuring all of the show’s top stars.
WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez weighed in ahead of their title match, Team Hogan and Team Flair had one final showdown, and of course the groundbreaking announcement was made that women’s wrestling is coming to the kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the very first time.

All Elite Wrestling came out ahead in the so-called Wednesday Night Wars for the 7th consecutive week. AEW Dynamite was watched by 957,000 viewers, up 16% coming out of this past weekend’s Full Gear pay-per-view. On the USA Network, WWE NXT dropped 7.7% to 750,000 viewers.
AEW was actually #5 on cable television (up from #8 last week) for Wednesday nights in adults 18-49 with a 0.43 rating. WWE NXT fell from #12 all the way to #22 with a 0.25 rating in the same demographic.

WWE has announced that Rey Mysterio will defend his United States Championship against AJ Styles this week on Monday Night Raw.
It will be the lucha legend’s first defense of the title, which he won two weeks ago from… you guessed it, AJ Styles. Despite losing to Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, Mysterio rebounded with a win over Ricochet, Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre in a Fatal 4-Way match to win an immediate title shot against the “Phenomenal One”, which he won.

Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas got a boost in their efforts to close the gap on Max Verstappen by finishing on top in second practice for the Austrian Grand Prix in Spielberg.
Aston Martin and AlphaTauri also had strong sessions, but Sergio Perez was only 11th and neither Ferrari driver was able to crack the top ten by the time FP2 came to a conclusion.
Teams continued to test Pirelli’s new unmarked compounds, and steady light drizzle that picked up as the session wore on also made it harder than usual to form direct comparisons between the various drivers at different times.
With the possibility of rain in the air in the start, there was a rush for all 20 cars to get out on track when the lights at the end of pit lane went green for the second free practice session at the Red Bull Ring on Friday. Carlos Sainz was first out, and he was soon on the Ferrari team radio to confirm there were a few spots of rain on his visor as he prepared for his first flying lap. His engineer reassured him that it wasn’t expected to develop into anything more significant.
It didn’t take long for Max Verstappen to pick up the top spot once more with a lap of 1:05.773s on the new Pirelli test tyre, the Red Bull a tenth and a half ahead of AlphaTauri’s Yuki Tsunoda who had a similar advantage over Lewis Hamilton. Verstappen soon lowered his time by seven hundredths ensuring he kept ahead of Valtteri Bottas, who had made his debut in the timesheets in second place on the regular mediums.
Having sat out first practice in favour of Alpine reserve Guanyu Zhou, Fernando Alonso was the first driver to switch to the soft tyres which soon saw him up to fourth, albeit three tenths off the pace of Bottas who has eased ahead of Verstappen. Also making up for lost time was George Russell, who had been sidelined in favour of Roy Nissany in the morning.
Verstappen was soon back on top with a new best time of 1:05.239s on the mediums, while his team mate Sergio Perez moved up to second with a gap between them of 0.227s. Esteban Ocon had claimed third for Alpine ahead of Bottas, with Kimi Raikkonen in fifth and Antonio Giovinazzi in seventh making an Alfa Romeo sandwich of Hamilton. They were followed by Alonso, Russell and Pierre Gasly, with Tsunoda just outside the top ten followed by Charles Leclerc after a big scare for the Ferrari with a snap of oversteer of turn 9 that he was lucky to keep under control.

With Verstappen and Hamilton back in the pits, strong laps from Aston Martin saw Sebastian Vettel go second on the soft tyres ahead of Tsunoda and his own team mate Lance Stroll. Bottas took the opportunity to go back to the top with time of 1:04.712s, half a second clear of Verstappen. Stroll also moved forward into second, but both Gasly and Haas’ Mick Schumacher had their latest improved lap times deleted for exceeding track limits.
The intermittent rain had now metastasised into a persistent light drizzle as
Hamilton and Verstappen returned to the fray on soft tyres, and the cooler conditions in general meant that for once it was the Mercedes with the upper hand. Hamilton went top ahead of Bottas with a time of 1:04.523s. Verstappen’s effort was only good enough for third ahead of Stroll and Vettel, followed by the two AlphaTauris of Tsunoda and Gasly. After a subdued start for McLaren, Lando Norris had battled his way up to eighth ahead of Giovinazzi, but he was soon dropped a spot by Alonso’s quickest run.
With a little over 20 minutes remaining and the drizzle continuing to be a distraction as the track became increasingly slippery, teams started to turn to longer distance runs. There was little further change to the timings despite everyone continuing to run on slick tyres, but turn 4 was starting to get particularly tricky and resulted in Hamilton locking up and running through the gravel with a little over ten minutes remaining.
With the FIA timing screens helpfully informing teams that the track was now slippery, Norris also had a half-spin at turn 1 that sent his skittering across the damp grass. Asked by his race engineer what damage he had sustained, the Briton replied dryly: “Talent!”

Today’s WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia saw the crowning of not one, but two new 24/7 Champions.

It was Sunil Singh, one half of the Singh Brothers, that went into the show holding the championship. It was announced that the 24/7 rules would be temporarily suspended while he competed in a 20-man battle royal for the right to challenge WWE United States Champion A.J. Styles later on in the evening.
After Sunil was eliminated from the battle royal, apparently the 24/7 rules of the championship came back into effect, as R-Truth surprised him with a roll-up to win the belt for an unprecedented 21st time.
That was only the first of two title changes at Crown Jewel, as we said. Later in the show Truth was actually outsmarted by both brothers, confusing him backstage and allowing Samir, the younger of the two Singh brothers, to roll him up and win the title for the first time.
There have now been 61 individual WWE 24/7 Championship reigns since the title was introduced five months ago. R-Truth makes up more than one-third of those reigns on his own, and the rest of the list is a wild collection of Superstars, Legends and beyond, including Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco, Alundra Blayze, the “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, Fox Sports broadcaster Rob Stone, and even Marshmellow.

Earlier this week, Dave Meltzer reported that a meeting took place before Monday Night Raw where Vince McMahon addressed the talent following all of the hold-ups with leaving Saudi Arabia over the weekend.
In the report it was noted that Seth Rollins gave what was described as a “rah-rah speech” to motivate the locker room. The former Universal Champion then went on Twitter and categorically denied that he spoke at all during the meeting.
“No Dave, my problem is that you’re spreading complete lies. I gave no speech. I said nothing before, during or after the meeting. So either you or your source is full of it. Either way, it’s a bold faced lie and I kindly ask you to quit pushing it.”
Meltzer, via F4WOnline.com, has now issued a full retraction of his original statement as well as an apology to WWE Superstar Seth Rollins.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has issued a Stay-At-Home order for the state of Florida, which will go into effect on Thursday at midnight. This is to help combat the recent outbreak of COVID-19. The order will likely halt tapings of future WWE & AEW events.
WWE had already moved all of their April events to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL, but the Stay-At-Home order would disrupt even that. According to ProWrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin, WWE has taped WrestleMania, as well as the episodes of RAW & NXT for the week after (April 6th & 8th, respectively). No word on what this means for SmackDown or any other events going forward.
This would seem to make filming at the WWE PC difficult going forward.

Meanwhile, AEW has had to move out of Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL, where they have been filming Dynamite. They are currently scheduled to broadcast from an “undisclosed location” that, according to Dave Meltzer, is somewhere in the Southeastern United States.
