WWE announced that last night’s WWE Money In The Bank PPV was a sold out show, which is a positive sign for the company, especially going up against Game Of Thrones.

However, it is worth noting that WWE never officially revealed an attendance figure, and the company is known for exaggerating the numbers when it comes to attendances.

Hangman Page made a surprise appearance as “Lucky Number 21” in the Casino Battle Royale tonight, kicking off the AEW Double or Nothing pre-show with a bang!

The special battle royal, which featured alternative rules with four separate groups of entrants (spades, clubs, diamonds and hearts) saw the likes of the hardcore legend Tommy Dreamer, Jimmy Havoc, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, the “Bad Boy” Joey Janela and former WWE Superstar Tye Dillinger (as Shawn Spears).

Hangman, who had his highly anticipated match against Pac scrapped at the last minute earlier this week, won the Casino Battle Royale by last eliminating the eternally controversial MJF. He will now receive the first opportunity at the AEW World Championship, taking on the winner of tonight’s Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho main event at a later date.

Former-WWE Kickoff Show Personality Peter Rosenberg was recently on Cheap Heat on ESPN Radio, where he addressed why he’s no longer a presence on WWE TV. Rosenberg was known for his flashy attire, and outspoken nature, appearing on various WWE Kickoff panels, as well as Let’s Bring It To The Table.

Rosenberg said that he’d had other projects take precedence, but was willing and able to work WrestleMania 35. Rosenberg was reportedly at the WWE hotel, and visited with performers and staff. It was apparently Michael Cole that told Rosenberg that he was done with the company.

Former WWE Superstar, Summer Rae recently spoke with Ring The Belle about her time with the company, including writing her own promos. Below are some highlights with a H/T to WrestlingInc.com for the transcriptions.

On her respect for Natalya:

“I love Nattie,” Moinet declared. “I thought I was horrible and really mean on Total Divas. People that know me in real life know who I am, and know I would never do anything like that. But it’s your first season, and you gotta stir the pot! It was a great scene heard from around the world. She’ll always be a worker. Nothing you do can ever offend her.

Writing her own promo against Rusev:

“I actually wrote the promo, and that’s never been said before,” Moinet said. “Higher powers were very upset [the storyline had to be dropped]. They thought I was the one that would suffer most from this. So they just were like, ‘you know it’s not fair. Would you like to write your own promo?’ I’m really proud of it. I wrote the whole thing, and it was easy to memorize because I wrote it. And I loved it. When I went in the back, it was like standing ovations. Stephanie, Vince, and definitely Armstrong, like everyone was back there. Everyone’s standing and I was proud of it. Stephanie even came out to me, and she was like, ‘That was a slap, girl!”

On if she will return:

“If I ever returned, it’ll be in Chicago,” Moinet said. “Spoiler Alert…I’m a Vince girl. I’ll never burn a bridge.”

Two former WWE Superstars locked up at a recent Northeast Wrestling event as Jon Moxley went one on one with CazXL (formerly known as Big Cass), with nZo at ringside.

CazXL made an open challenge to anybody in the back at the event to which Moxley ended up answering. In the end, it was Moxley who picked up the victory with both Caz and nZo receiving a Dirty Deeds.

Nikki and Brie Bella made an appearance on The Tonight Show this Wednesday evening with host Jimmy Fallon, a long-time friend of the WWE, and discussed everything from their recent in-ring retirement to the controversial finale of HBO’s Game of Thrones (which Nikki apparently spoiled for BOTH of their significant others).

During the sit-down interview, Nikki revealed the real reason why she was forced to retire from professional wrestling earlier this year – and it turns out, it actually wasn’t her choice at all.

It has been well-documented that the former Divas Champion has had a series of neck problems, including a major surgery in 2015 that ended up being a major focus of the Total Divas series and eventual Total Bellas spinoff.

Nikki would of course return to the ring for several part-time stints including a high-profile intergender tag team match teaming up with ex-fiance John Cena against The Miz and Maryse, who now have their very own hit reality series, Miz & Mrs. on the USA network.

Her final televised match took place just last year, when she unsuccessfully challenged Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women’s Championship in the main event of the historic WWE Evolution all-women’s PPV event. She would also return to the ring for a series of non-televised WWE Live event matches across Europe the following month, taking on Rousey and Natalya in what would be her real final matches in the ring.

While on The Tonight Show, Nikki revealed that her and her sister Brie were actually considering making a comeback earlier this year in order to fight for the newly minted WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, but a check-up with the medical team revealed severe complications that would ultimately end her wrestling career.

“I really wanted to go back and fight for the tag titles. I’ve always had my neck issues, and after neck surgery it hasn’t been okay. I feel like I needed to get that check-up before we went back for the tag titles, and then it came back and I have a herniated disc above where I had surgery. I have all this inflammation around the metal, and I have a cyst on my brain. They were like, ‘You’re done!’ I didn’t get a choice.”
