After last nights announcement by Vince McMahon and his family, WWE SmackDown Live GM, Paige reacted to the news on social media.

During the McMahon’s promise to the WWE Universe, they stated that the fans were now the authority and that the days of general managers who weren’t always on the show were over.

The McMahon’s then claimed that they were taking over, with Shane McMahon stating that SmackDown Live is going to change alongside the red brand.

This has left many fans questioning what the future is for WWE SmackDown Live General Manager, Paige, and whether or not her role will be affected by the changes.

Paige clearly had the same sentiment as she replied to the promos simply posting, “Oh?” along with a confused emoji face, adding to the speculation about her job.

The decision regarding Paige’s future as the GM of the blue brand will likely be revealed on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live, although she has done a fantastic job since taking over and has been praised for her work by WWE fans, so it would be a strange decision to take it away from her.

The former SmackDown Live Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch has posted to her Instagram of her plans for during the Holiday period.

Lynch took a shot at her fellow female WWE Superstars, claiming that whilst the rest of the ladies are painting their nails, The Man is back in Dublin teaching and learning, working and improving.

Lynch claimed that any 1% chance that Ronda Rousey had of beating her is now gone, adding that she can’t wait to smash the little weirdo.

Of course, no match between Lynch and Rousey has been announced yet, but it is still highly expected the two will face-off at WrestleMania, potentially in a triple threat with Charlotte Flair.

As advertised, John Cena made his highly anticipated return to WWE television this Saturday night at the Smackdown Live television tapings in Pittsburgh, PA. The 16-time world champion soaked in the traditional mixed reaction he has become accustomed to over the years, but didn’t have very long to enjoy the moment, as the so-called “greatest of all time” ran right into The Man.

Becky Lynch, who was set to team with Cena in an unexpected mixed tag team match, took a moment to let Big Match John in on the fact that while he was away, she became the next big thing in WWE. “And if you have a problem with that,” a fired-up Lynch stated, “Nikki Bella won’t be the only woman to drop you this year.”

The two did end up getting on the same page — for the most part — picking up a victory over Andrade Cien Almas and Zelina Vega in mixed tag team action. However, after Cena hit his patented Five Moves of Doom looking to put away El Idolo, Lynch surprisingly threw her own partner out of the ring, rolling Vega up into the Disarmher, and won the match for herself.

After more than eight months trapped inside the kingdom of darkness — also known as the injured list — Rosemary made her return to Impact Wrestling this Sunday night at the company’s first pay-per-view event of 2019, Impact Homecoming.

The former Knockouts Champion has been out of action since suffering an injury back in May of 2018, and was written off television after being attacked by Su Yung and placed inside a coffin. Since then Impact has run multiple programs involving Yung and her undead legion of bridesmaids, including an ongoing angle with Rosemary’s former best friend Allie, who has since turned to the “dark side”.

At Homecoming, the bizarre superstar re-emerged from a coffin being carried by the undead bridesmaids, attacking Su Yung following her tag team match against Kiera Hogan and Jordynne Grace. There was also an attempt made to restore the sanity of her corrupted bestie, but it looks like we’ll have to keep waiting to see how that all pans out.

As reported, Impact will be making its simulcast debut on Twitch this Friday night at 10PM ET, along with their big move to the Pursuit Channel. The show will now air live and completely free on Twitch each week.

International pro wrestling star WALTER has finally arrived in WWE. The big man appeared at the NXT UK Takeover: Blackpool event on Saturday, January 12.

Pete Dunne had just defeated Joe Coffey in a grueling match to retain the NXT UK Championship. Dunne was then confronted by WALTER, who promptly gave the big boot to Coffey. WALTER and Dunne had a face-off, with neither man backing down.

Dunne’s reign as NXT UK champion is over 600 days but he may have stared down the man that will take the title from him. WALTER’s first match on the NXT UK brand has yet to be announced, but fans should probably expect a rather quick rise in the ranks.

WWE likely wants to book WALTER versus Dunne at some point in the near future and this moment is probably just the first glimpse of the storyline that’s to come.

A new report featured in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter has shed light on a seemingly frustrated statement made by MLW CEO Court Bauer, who claimed that lucha libre sensation Rush wanted to remain a part of the promotion, and that “politics” were responsible for keeping him out of the 4/4 WrestleMania week main event against L.A. Park.

According to the Observer, MLW in conjunction with their television broadcast partner BeIN Sports had put together what, on the surface, looked like an incredible deal for both Rush and his family. The deal was not exclusive and would have also seen MLW book his brothers, Dragon Lee and Mistico II, as well as working on U.S. citizenship for his wife and children.

Apparently the contract would have also seen Rush work with BeIN Sports as an analyst during their Spanish-language coverage of soccer games, to give him experience working in broadcasting. He was also offered the MLW World Heavyweight Championship.

The reason it all fell apart is that the 30-year-old lucha star is still under contract with CMLL as part of a five-year contract that expires in 2020, which gives owner Paco Alonso the final say decision on any other contracts Rush is considering. Due to CMLL’s strong relationships with New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Ring of Honor, Alonso was essentially pressured into shutting out MLW.

There was also an attempt by Court Bauer to have Rush stay on with them to work the 4/4 main event and play off the story they had already set in place, especially given that the angle they set up has already aired on television, but obviously that isn’t happening now.

Rush’s contract with Ring of Honor is for one year only, and locks him down exclusively in the U.S. and Canada. He will continue to work for CMLL and will likely continue to be a staple of their Friday night shows in Arena Mexico.
