WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan recently spoke with ABC Action News out of Tama Bay, FL, and below are some interview highlights:

On possibly returning to WWE:

“The fans are pulling for it, wrestlers are pulling for it,” Hogan said. “We’ve got a really good rapport with everyone and we are working towards it – changing the story and making things right again [with the WWE Universe].”

On talk of entering politics followed by an urge by former Donald Trump adviser Roger Stone:

“As far as going into politics and going to Washington and playing softball with everybody shooting at me, forget it,” Hogan explained. “There’s no chance.”

As we noted back in January, Stone is urging Hogan to challenge Florida Governor Rick Scott in the Republican primary.

One thing Hogan isn’t ruling out, a possible return to wrestling.

“I don’t miss any workouts, I’m 65 years old and I’m trying to talk Ric into getting in the ring with me one more time,” said Hogan, who has had nine back surgeries, a pair of knee replacement surgeries and two titanium hip procedures.

As we noted yesterday, Chris Jericho revealed that Kenny Omega will be joining the “Rock ‘N Wrestling Rager at Sea” Cruise this October, and below is the official press release with more details:

Ahead of this weekend’s WWE Elimination Chamber PPV, Roman Reigns spoke with ESPN and discussed the six men he will face in the Elimination Chamber match Sunday night. Below are some interview highlights:

On The Miz:

“He’s an underrated workhorse. I’m extremely proud of the job that he does representing the company. The crossover reach that he has, and his ability to maintain the relationship he has with MTV [is great]. I think he’s very underrated for the amount of work that he does and I’m grateful to have him in our locker room.

On Finn Balor:

“The cool thing about Finn, and a lot of the guys we have, but especially his story and just his background and the time he spent in Japan and the whole Bullet Club scene and everything, I would just say he’s an extremely deserving competitor, and he’s in the right spot. He’s in the right light. I’m extremely happy with his progression as a character, and as long as he can keep Finn Balor doing what he’s doing, the Demon is always going to be really cool. He’s definitely a journeyman, but I’m happy he’s continually escalating and evolving throughout this career.”

Elias:

“He’s an entertainer, and a growing one. He’s like a wrestler’s dream, because you can send him out there and let him sing and play the guitar and make fun of the town and stuff like that. And he does a pretty good job at being cool, but still getting some heat. I’m looking forward to see him progress. He’s definitely going to be a jack of all trades.”

John Cena:

“He’s like ‘The Babe.’ I don’t think there’s ever going to be anybody like Cena ever again. That’s why when people compare myself to him now, I like to just think that it’s a compliment. To be able to have the longevity — that’s the word for Cena — longevity. It goes to speak to his worth ethic and his passion, but I just don’t think it’s going to be able to be done again. He’s one of one. There will never be a guy who can hold up and be that durable because he competed 15-plus years on an elite level. I’ve been doing it a few years now, and I can already feel the tolls, so there’s a lot of respect that has to go his way because to do it at the top for that long is unprecedented.

While nothing has been officially announced, Bryan Alvarez noted on the most recent edition of Wrestling Observer Live that WWE has been considering not doing the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34 this year. Instead, WWE has been discussing the idea of holding a Women’s battle royal match, along the lines of a Mae Young Memorial Battle Royal, in place of the Andre match. Alvarez noted this is something being discussed, and nothing has been confirmed at this point.

Lynch Takes Shot at Carmella

As noted, Becky Lynch vs Carmella will take place on Smackdown Live next week and Lynch Tweeted the following ahead of the bout:

According to PWInsider.com, Impact Wrestling star and former WWE Champion Alberto El Patron recently met with Vince McMahon at WWE Headquarters in Stamford, CT.

The meeting was regarding El Patron filming interview content for an upcoming Rey Mysterio WWE Network project, however, the PWInsider report adds Vince McMahon is a big fan of El Patron, considers him a top talent and in-ring character, and is very much high on the idea of bringing Patron back to WWE.

As we noted earlier this week, El Patron’s Impact contract is set to expire very soon, and Impact officials were making it it a high priority at the TV tapings this past weekend to lock El Patron, fka Alberto Del Rio in WWE, to a new deal.

As of now, El Patron is scheduled to face Austin Aries at the April 22nd Impact Wrestling Redemption PPV, and that match is expected to take place regardless of what El Patron decides to do with his future once his Impact deal expires.

Patron possibly negotiating for a return to WWE is surprising to say the least, given the comments he has made towards WWE, and more specifically Triple H, in the past.

In an interview conducted for Sportskeeda back in January of this year, El Patron admitted he has apologized to Triple H for past comments, and had the following to say:

“I apologized to Triple H for the issues we were in when I was with the relationship with [Paige]. She and her entire family made me believe that those who affected our relationship were them, specifically him.”

On a possible return to WWE, El Patron seemed to change his tune to the resoundingly positive, noting “of course, I would go back (to WWE), I would not go back fulltime, but I would make a special appearance before I put on my wrestling boots and it will surely happen, surely before I retire I will do something special with them. I see a very difficult 2018, but in 2019 before leaving I’m definitely going to do something with them, we shook hands and everything is fine right now. Time heals wounds.”
