Meltzer Issues Retraction & Apology for Recent WWE Talent Meeting Report
July 17, 2021 | News | No Comments
Earlier this week, Dave Meltzer reported that a meeting took place before Monday Night Raw where Vince McMahon addressed the talent following all of the hold-ups with leaving Saudi Arabia over the weekend.
In the report it was noted that Seth Rollins gave what was described as a “rah-rah speech” to motivate the locker room. The former Universal Champion then went on Twitter and categorically denied that he spoke at all during the meeting.
“No Dave, my problem is that you’re spreading complete lies. I gave no speech. I said nothing before, during or after the meeting. So either you or your source is full of it. Either way, it’s a bold faced lie and I kindly ask you to quit pushing it.”
Meltzer, via F4WOnline.com, has now issued a full retraction of his original statement as well as an apology to WWE Superstar Seth Rollins.
Editor’s Note: We generally try to avoid doing stories about other individuals within the media, as it doesn’t come off well, but in this instance we aggregated the original story from Meltzer’s report earlier this week, and felt the need to let our readers know that a mistake was made.
