Backstage News on Production of Smackdown’s WWE Raw Invasion

Last week’s edition of WWE Raw contained quite the surprise ending, with the Smackdown Live roster firing the first shot in the WWE brand war which will end at Survivor Series.

According to PWInsider.com, the filming of the invasion angle actually took place earlier in the day on Monday, and was not a live segment.

The Smackdown roster was instructed to make their attack look as brutal as possible, in order to make the segment come across more realistic. One of the segments in the attack actually had to be reshot, because some of the punches being thrown looked too “worked” and not realistic enough for TV.

The battle for WWE brand supremacy will come to a head at Survivor Series, when team Raw faces team Smackdown in a 5 on 5 traditional Survivor Series elimination match.
