Haryana Scribe Does His Job By Reporting On Damaged Foodgrains, Police Book Him For Defamation

In yet another classic case of shooting the messenger, the police in Hisar, Haryana has booked a journalist for doing his job. According to PTI, Hisar-based Anoop Kundu, who works with a TV news channel, was booked on September 8 on the basis of a complaint lodged by a civil supplies department official.
He landed in trouble for a two-month-old report about how food grain at a government godown in Uklana town was damaged due to alleged negligence.
