The newly constructed toilets built under the Swachh Bharat Mission in Jatwada, which falls in the jurisdiction of the municipal corporation, have been rendered useless as there is no provision for water, thereby forcing residents to defecate in the open.

A year after chief minister Devendra Fadnavis declared the state to be free of open defecation, people in the drought-hit villages are still forced to opt for the traditional route to relieve themselves.
