Delhi On Alert After Arrest Of Man Carrying Bombs In A Bus; Intel Warns Of Possible Terror Attack

A bike squad will keep an eye on suspicious people and vehicles after a high alert has been sounded in the capital following the arrest of a man found to be carrying explosives in a bus bound for Delhi from Jammu. Security has been tightened at all bus terminals and train stations.

A bike team would have two riders armed with assault rifles and pistols. They will patrol a 2-km radius and are part of a bigger motorcycle squad called Jaguar that was raised earlier to curb street crimes.

Apart from scanning roads, the teams have also been asked to keep an eye on street-corner gatherings and small crowds during kanwariya processions.
