Toxic Reality: People Living Closer To Roads In Delhi Are At Extremely High Risk Of Cancer

Living close to roads in Delhi may increase the chances of getting lung cancer because one gets to inhale more particulate more that contains elements such as chromium and nickel, a newly drawn study says.
According to the study done by IIT Kanpur and Delhi, the excess cancer risk (ECR) through trace elements in the air was calculated to be, “13-16 times higher than the safe limit for children,” and in the “tolerable limit” for adults.
