STEGER, IL — A Wisconsin fugitive was captured Friday in baby crib in south suburban Steger, Steger police said. Trezelle Bishop, 27, of Janesville, Wisconsin, escaped from the minimum security Felmers O. Chaney Correctional Center in Milwaukee last week and fled across the Illinois border.

Steger police were notified that he had contacts in the area, possibly in the 3700 block of Green Street. Working with Crete police, Steger officers visited the residence and were given permission to search it. They found Bishop hiding in a baby crib. He had been free from jail for less than a day.
