Hurricane Michael: Jim Cantore Stay Away
May 9, 2020 | News | No Comments
MIAMI, FL — When your state is facing a once-in-a-decade storm, the last person you want to see blow into town is The Weather Channel’s Jim Cantore. In fact, some people consider it a bad omen given the TV weatherman’s penchant for finding himself in the thick of some of the worst storms in U.S. history.
“Everyone knows what’s in store when Jim Cantore shows up,” declared the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office on its Facebook page. “So, we issued a little notice. LOL.”

That notice includes three photos of Cantore and carries the message in big bold letters: “No Trespass.” Santa Rosa County is located in the Florida Panhandle, which was hoping to avoid a taste of Hurricane Michael’s bitter wrath.
It’s not that the sheriff’s office has anything against Cantore personally, only professionally.
“Non business-related visits only,” the trespass notice permitted. “Winter months preferred.”
