WWE released a video update from Balor beginning his rehab process and talking dejectedly about the big international tours and PPVs that he will be missing over the next six months.

“It’s been a long day,” Balor summed up after his first day of rehab. “It was agony. Any hopes of being back in four months are crushed. It’s going to be at least six months of rehabilitation. don’t really know how I’m going to cope with being out of the ring for that long.”

“I don’t really know how I’m going to cope with being out of the ring for that long,” Balor added. “My friends tell me the first month is the hardest, then you’ll kind of slip into the routine and enjoy the time off. Right now, I’m thinking about the amount of work I’m going to miss.”

Overall, Balor said it’s been a “startling realization” that it’s a very serious shoulder injury and it’s going to be a “really tough first couple of months and long road back.”
