Jim Ross On Jon Moxley Possibly Joining AEW: "I Think It Could Happen For Sure"

Jim Ross’ days as the Head of Talent Relations for WWE may be long behind him, however the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) Senior Advisor and play-by-play announcer continues to keep an eye on the active talent pool in the modern landscape.

During an appearance on ESPN 1530’s No Holds Barred radio show this weekend, the WWE Hall Of Famer spoke about one particular talent he would like to see make his way to AEW — Jon Moxley.

Moxley, formerly known as Dean Ambrose, parted ways with WWE after WrestleMania 35 earlier this year. Almost immediately after his contract expired, Ambrose released a well-produced vignette teasing the return of his ‘Jon Moxley’ character.

Could Jon Moxley end up signing with AEW?

“I think it could happen for sure, and I think he’s a high priority for any company,” Ross said during his appearance on ESPN 1530 this weekend. “Whether it be AEW, WWE retaining him, or him going to ROH or anywhere else. Jon’s a very talented kid. Wherever he’s going to go, he’s going to be a big player.”

J.R. added, “Jon Moxley is a pro wrestling star, no matter the jersey that he’s wearing. I just hope somewhere down the road if all the cards fall where they should, I’ll be calling his matches as well.”
