Alexa Bliss to Become Raw GM? Rumor Killer on Lesnar’s WM Match

It was announced on Raw this week that there will be a match between Baron Corbin and Braun Strowman during the TLC pay-per-view next month. The two Raw Superstars have developed quite the rivalry over the past few weeks, and the two of them are now set to square off in a match with major stipulations attached. If Strowman defeats Corbin, he will be granted a match against Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. However, if Corbin wins, he will become the permanent General Manager of Raw. Corbin has been working as the acting Raw GM ever since Stephanie McMahon forced Kurt Angle to step down from the role, but could the former Money in the Bank contract holder be completely in charge of the brand soon?
According to a few new reports, it may be neither Baron Corbin nor Kurt Angle who lands the gig, but Alexa Bliss instead. Per PWInsider’s Elite Audio show, several officials backstage in WWE believe that the former Raw Women’s Champion will become the next authority figure for WWE’s flagship show after TLC comes to an end. Bliss is currently out of action due to numerous head injuries, and while it has been said that her in-ring career is not over due to the issues, she may be kept out for a little bit longer until the company feels confident in clearing her to come back. Bliss has continued to appear on Raw despite her injuries, so it is certainly possible that she could move into the GM role at least temporarily very soon.
With Triple H out of action due to an injury, the possibility of the rumored match between “The Game” and Batista at WrestleMania 35 appears to be in doubt. However, there were some reports that had claimed that Batista could still be returning to the ring soon for a match against WWE’s current Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar at the next WrestleMania event. However, Dave Meltzer has noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that there are actually no plans for a Lesnar vs. Batista match to take place any time soon. Although a match between these two heavyweights would certainly be beloved by fans, it appears that company may have other plans for Batista and Brock Lesnar at WWE’s biggest show this April.
