Augustana (12-2) returns home to continue Conference Dual season. The Vikings will first take on Southwest Minnesota State (4-6). The dual is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Elmen Center. Next up Augustana will then face off against the Marauders from University of Mary (5-8). The dual is scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Elmen Center.

Series History
This will be the 28th meeting between the Vikings and the Mustangs. Augustana holds a 25-5 record against SMSU. The Vikings won last year’s match 38-6, winning nine matches in the process. This is the seventh meeting between Augustana and U-Mary. The Vikings have won the past six meeting by average score of 35-6. Augustana won last year’s dual 40-6 in Bismark, N.D.

Augustana sweep the Rangers Duals
Augustana went 4-0 at the Ranger duals hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. The Vikings opened the day with a 18-15 win over No. 14 Findlay. Javier Vieyra (125 pounds) got Augustana on the board first with a 4-2 decision over Mike Stewart. Logan Henning (197 pounds) tied up the dual at 15 by pinning Charles Wells III in the second period. This was Henning seventh pin of the season. Michael Lowman (285 Pounds) finished off the comeback with a 5-0 decision over Gerald Beck. Lowman improved to 5-1 on decision victories.

Next up Augustana took on McKendree and improved to 2-0 on the day with a 24-15 victory. Augustana would win the first two matches of the dual, including a victory by David Potratz (133 Pounds) by a 7-4 decision over Naquan Hardy. Aero Amo (184 pounds) would score a pin two minutes in the first period over Cody Willis. This was Amo’s ninth pin of the season. Clayton Wahlstrom (197 Pounds) and Michael Lowman (285 Pounds) each scored decision victories to give Augustana the 24-15 victory.

Third the Vikings would defeat Indianapolis 19-15. David Potratz (133 pounds) got the Vikings on the board with a 10-0 major decision over Joe Kieffer. Colin Ayers (149 Pounds) and Shawn Hatlestad (157 Pounds) both scored victories with Ayers by way of 9-7 decision and Hatlestad scored his fourth pin of the season pinning Heath Lange. Aero Amo (184 Pounds) extended his match winning streak to 15 with 7-3 decision over Taylor DeLong. Clayton Wahlstrom improved to 2-0 on the day with a 5-1 decision over Tyler Scott. Wahlstrom improved to 4-3 in dual meets.

Last Augustana would win its last match of the day 18-17 against Tiffin. The match was tied up 18 after 10 matches. Tiffin was deducted a point for flagrant to give Augustana the 18-17 victory.

Two Augustana wrestlers ranked in the WCA rankings poll
Aero Amo moved up to No. 4 in 184 pounds, Michael Lowman moved down at No. 8 at 285 pounds. Augustana comes in at No. 8 in the NCAA Super Region 3 Rankings. Aero Amo moved up to take the No. 1 spot at 184 pounds. Michael Lowman moved down one spot to No.3 at 285 pounds.
