— Local advertising in the Richmond, Virginia area is promoting the Apr. 26 edition of Monday Night Raw at The Richmond Coliseum as a three-hour WWE Draft spectacular. The show will mark as the 2010 roster draft with Superstars from both Raw and SmackDown changing sides. Ticketmaster.com is running a pre-sale for the event through 10:00 p.m. tonight. — Eve Torres and WWE Hall of Famer Howard Finkel are in Phoenix today doing media and making appearances to promote WrestleMania. Torres noted on her Twitter account that she will be throwing out the first pitch at today’s Los Angeles Dodgers spring training game at Camelback Ranch in Phoenix. She will also be taking part in an autograph signing with Finkel today at 2:30 p.m. at Food City (located 9020 W. Thomas Rd. Phoenix, Arizona). Finally, both Torres and Finkel will be on 101.5 JamZ tonight with the SuperSnake at 5:00 p.m.

— The word amongst friends of Chris Kanyon is that an empty bottle of Seroquel was found near his body when he died on Friday night, reports prowrestling.NET. This particular drug is used to treat bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

His death is being investigated as a suicide.

— Today is former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Diamond Dallas Page’s birthday. He turns 54 years old.

Chris Kanyon was a longtime friend of Page as he worked his first retirement match against him in 2004. The two also worked directly alongside each other in 1999 as members of The Jersey Triad.

Page commented on his friend’s passing on his Facebook page, writing:

“Ok I’ve been a little over whelmed by the All the response and I wanted to THANK everyone AGAIN for the Birthday wishes and for you Condolences about the lose of my good buddy Chris Kanyon… He was a true friend and an amaZing worker in the ring… This week on www.DaRealDDP.com “Wrasslin Wednesdays” I will be breakin…g away from the Macho feud to Honor Chris’s memory… DDP.”

Christopher Daniels has told friends that his attitude towards TNA’s creative direction was cited among the reasons for his recent release from the company.

Meanwhile, company sources believe he had a guaranteed contract that was signed when he and Samoa Joe were prominently featured. He was given no warning that his release was coming and there were a lot of people surprised over the move.

Though he had done his share of complaining over the years, sources indicate he had been fairly quiet in recent months. Another source noted Daniels as “the ringleader” of a vocal group that includes AJ Styles, Joe and Kazarian. The source agreed that Daniels had been quiet as of late, but added that he believes people within the organization didn’t forget that he complained previously.

— TNA personality Hermie Sadler will race in the “Bubba Burger 250” this Friday at Richmond International Raceway. Sadler will pilot RAB Racing’s No. 09 TNA Wrestling Ford Fusion. The event will be Sadler’s first Nationwide Series start since 2004. (Article link)

— It appears TNA has dropped Orlando Jordan’s on-screen entourage – Cameron and Santana G – as neither performer has been used in recent weeks. Cameron garnered much heat over an incident at the hotel bar where he performed lewd acts in front of the wife of a female executive. However, TNA apparently still has plans for Santana as there is talk she may instead be used as a wrestler. She has experience as she was trained by former IWA-MS Heavyweight Champion Dingo. Also, she is the daughter of St. Louis-based High Voltage Wrestling promoter TNT Kenny G.

— Apparently in response to online reports of low morale and unhappiness within TNA, Madison Rayne posted a message on Twitter putting over the organization.

She wrote: “Have I mentioned lately how blessed I am to work for a company as great as TNA and plan to stay there as long as possible? Just sayin……”

Rayne is currently a double champion, holding both the TNA Women’s Knockout Championship and the TNA Knockout Tag Team Championship.
