Wow, this one is pretty brutal.

At the Lucha Memes / Lucha Libre Boom co-promoted event in Puerto Rico on Monday, a wrestler was knocked out when a cinder block brick was thrown from his opponent, Angel o Demonio, in the ring out to the floor, hitting him in the back of the head when he wasn’t expecting it.

Cuervo was legitimately knocked out for a few moments as a result of what looked visually to be a very brutal spot.

The referee and what appeared to be a ringside physician at the event immediately checked on Cuervo, who was completely unconscious, face-down, on the concrete outside the ring. He would eventually regain consciousness and be helped to the back. The match ended just a few moments later after Demonio taunted the crowd for a bit.

Following rumors of a name change for the Total Divas reality show, Natalya spoke with the folks at The Wrap to address the rumors.

Nattie told The Wrap, “You know, I’m not sure actually,” when asked about said rumors. “I’ve heard different rumblings. I’ve heard that, you know, [‘Total Divas’ co-star and executive producer] Nikki Bella had talked about it openly and said, you know, she wanted to change the name, and that we should go from ‘Divas’ to something else.”

According to the longtime WWE veteran and cast member of the popular E! reality show, she can see the positives and negatives associated with a name change this late in the game, with the show wrapping up its’ eighth season.

“It’s tough because, the way I look at it is, yes, in WWE we’re not called Divas anymore, we’re called Superstars,” she added. “But ‘Total Divas’ is such a popular show that, would the mainstream audience understand if we changed the name?

“But at the same time, I always think change is good and I think it could be a unique dynamic to take the fans, you know, on a journey where we do change the name. It just depends, the stars have to align. And I also, you know, I think the most important part is keeping the show authentic. Keeping it real and true to what it’s always been, and that really starts with the cast.”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took to social media to share a video of the big gift he gave his mother, Ata Johnson, for Christmas this year.

Check out the comments and video that “The Great One” released below.

This one felt good.

Surprise! Bought my mom a new home for Christmas.

All our lives growing up we lived in little apartments all across the country. Lived like gypsies on the road from one state to another.

The first home my parents ever lived in was the one I bought for them in 1999.

They divorced about 5yrs later and as with life, stuff happens and things got a little complicated.

Since then I always made sure my mom and dad have everything they’ll ever need – houses, cars etc.

But the house this time is a special one and the timing is very meaningful.

I told her to treat this card like it’s “Willy Wonka’s Golden Ticket” because she gets to choose any home she wants – anywhere she wants.

I always say, if you got a good mama, then you gotta pretty good shot at becoming a decent human being.

And somehow, somewhere along the line I became one lucky SOB to be able to make stuff like this happen.

Merry Christmas Ma and WOOOHOOO enjoy your new home.

WWE.com has since posted the following update:

Roman Reigns returns to Raw this Monday with an update on his battle with leukemia

Last October, Roman Reigns (Joe Anoa’i) revealed to the WWE Universe that he would be stepping away from WWE — and relinquishing the Universal Championship — to focus on his battle with leukemia, an illness that had returned 11 years after his initial diagnosis.

On Monday, The Big Dog returns to provide an update on his treatment, live in Atlanta.

What will Reigns have to say to the WWE Universe, more than four months after his last appearance on the red brand?

Don’t miss Roman Reigns’ anticipated return to WWE television on Raw Monday night, beginning at 8/7 C on USA Network.

Additionally, WWE posted this tweet looking at various WWE Superstars reacting to the news of Reigns’ RAW return:

While making the rounds to promote the release of his new film, Bumblebee, John Cena spoke with the folks from The Gorilla Position Podcast about balancing Hollywood and pro wrestling careers, his past criticism of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for the same thing and more. Featured below are some of the highlights.

On making the transition from pro wrestling to Hollywood and apologizing for his past comments about Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson: “I’m sorry and I was wrong. That’s the best thing I can do. I think my gripes were legitimate inside the WWE Universe. The WWE Universe is so dedicated and so fanatical, that they’re giving me the same comments that I once gave Dwayne Johnson because every Monday and every, now moving to Friday, when they turn on the TV, that’s their lives.

“That’s the thing they follow the most. I’m not there anymore, I’m here promoting Bumblebee. They’re gonna watch Bumblebee but it’s only like they’ll go to the movie theatre just once, twice, whatever watch it. It’s every Monday! And if you’re not there every Monday, as a viewer, especially since I’ve been with you guys for fifteen years, you now feel offended. Especially since before, I was like, ‘Hey man, where’d you go?'”

On the difficulty in balancing both careers and how criticizing The Rock in the past made for good TV: “This is a very tough balancing act and it’s one, when I called out Dwayne, I called him out because of ignorance. I called him out as someone who had tunnel vision in WWE and didn’t understand the process that when you make a movie, you are not allowed to do anything else. Because if you ruin this, if Seth Rollins puts my nose over here, I can’t film the movie. And that’s not conceded, there’s 100 other people who’s financial well-being depends on if I show up for work in one piece. So, if I stop production, that could shut production down. That cost the movie money, it hampers the success of the movie. So once again – I was foolish, selfish and ignorant but it made for awesome TV!”

It looks like one of the voices of Ring Of Honor (ROH) television, play-by-play announcer Ian Riccaboni, will be sticking around for a while.

Riccaboni’s contract was reportedly nearing a window that would have allowed him to negotiate with other promotions. Despite this fact, Riccaboni decided to re-sign with the company he has spent five years working for.

“[ROH] means the world to me; the wrestlers, the crew, and the fans,” wrote Riccaoni in a tweet posted on Thursday evening announcing that he had re-signed with the promotion. “We’re a family.”

Riccaboni continued, “I approached our office and producers about staying. They shared the same sentiment. I am excited to announce that I signed a mult-year deal to stay with ROH. Happy wrestling, indeed!”
