Celine Dion’s 2016 style transformation has catapulted her into fashion rock-star status, but her latest ensemble proves that Dion’s sensibility extends beyond classic labels like Saint Laurent.

What better way to rock a coat in the summer than to opt for one sans sleeves? Dion did just that and pieced together a leaf-print version with jeans, pointed-toe booties, and a colorful scarf that not only hung from her handbag, but also gave the outfit a tropical twist.

Jennifer Lawrence and husband Cooke Maroney made worldwide headlines when they wed in a lavish ceremony in October, so it only makes sense that in order to get away from it all they went as far from Los Angeles as possible. Enter, Nihi Sumba, the luxury Indonesian resort promising total privacy. 

Located on a remote Indonesian island a short flight from Jakarta, the resort is a favourite of the rich and famous thanks to its secluded grounds — all 530 private acres of it — and intimate 33 villas. Complete with a private beach and total serenity, the resort is just over the water from Australia and just a stone’s throw from neighbouring tourist islands including Lombok and Bali. 

According to , Lawrence and Cooke stayed in the even more exclusive private residence usually occupied by the owner of the resort, Chris Burch. The property, named Mendaka, is said to cost AU$18,000 per night. 

Previous guests of the resort have included Christian Bale, as well as Brody Jenner and Kaitlynn Carter who celebrated their wedding on the island in 2018.

The resort is the ultimate island retreat. Proving there’s merit in laid-back beach living with interiors to match, Nihi Sumba does understated luxury in spades. The private villas are nestled among trees, peeking out at the pristine coastline. Most have their own plunge pool and all are decorated in fresh and modern versions of traditional Indonesian design. 

Almost treehouse-like in their style, each villa is custom-fitted in bespoke finishings and completed with a locally-thatched roof. The result is total island living — but more five-star chic than beachside shack. 

Activities available to guests include horse riding (apparently done by the newlyweds), snorkelling and even swimming with turtles in the resort’s shallow beachfront.

Eva Longoria is a particularly youthful 41-years-old, but a photo that’s potentially decades old shows just how well the actress has taken care of herself over the years.

According to her multiple hashtags, the picture is in fact of the star’s first-ever headshot, which we’re sure helped catapult her mega-successful career. In it, she rocks her natural black locks and smiles for the camera. And while the photograph definitely does have a vintage aesthetic to it, there’s no denying that Longoria looks just as gorgeous now as she did at the onset of her days in Hollywood.

Brooklyn Beckham may only be 17-years-old but he’s already proven he’s a fashion fixture and now he’s ready to make his mark in beauty too. Almost 19 years ago, I Know What You Did Last Summer captivated audiences with its all-star teen cast, terrifyingly mysterious plot, and basic all-around ’90s goodness. Now, the director of the cult classic, Jim Gillespie, is back with another film in the same dramatic vein. His latest movie, Billionaire Ransom (titled Take Down outside of North and South America), hits select theaters and VOD today, Aug. 19, following a group of troubled rich kids who are held hostage at their remote rehab school in Scotland. Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick portrays the leader of the kidnappers, while Shadowhunters star Dominic Sherwood and American Gothic’s Elliot Knight play two of the students in danger.

InStyle recently caught up with Knight, and he told us that the flick is seriously goosebump-inducing. “It is very much a teen thriller like I Know What You Did Last Summer,” he said. “But it’s also a coming-of-age story, in a way, as the characters learn to fend for themselves.” And while it may be hard to want to root for the brattier characters at the beginning of the film, they just might grow on you as they work to reform their ways.

“Imagine a camp for bad kids—only this is a special, luxurious, exclusive camp for the bad kids of people with money,” said Knight. “It’s is all about rehabilitating yourself from within—your personality, your behavior, how you fit into society, and how you appreciate the value of yourself—so it’s pretty well-intentioned. But it’s this group of misfit kids who have been spoiled, and now it’s time for them to figure things out for themselves.”

To do that, the students become completely disconnected from their everyday lives. “The campus is located on an isolated island where there are no phones or internet, and there’s no communication with the outside world,” said Knight. “But someone who knows that these kids are on the island decides that it’s the perfect setup to kidnap them and pull the world’s biggest ransom. And the kidnappers can demand as much money as they want for each kid, because the parents are all so rich.”

From there, the teens spring into fight-or-flight mode. “Our characters are basically trying to survive the invasion of this island that we’ve been dumped on,” said Knight, adding that the cast bonded while shooting in the U.K. in 2014. “It was a lot of fun to film,” he said. “Dom [Sherwood] and I met on the set and became really good friends, and we see each other all the time now.”

In fact, it’s one of Sherwood’s scenes that Knight expects some viewers will enjoy most. “I’d say the biggest thing you guys can look forward to seeing is probably Dom chopping wood with his shirt off,” said Knight. “People will love that, of course—but there are also a lot of really cool action sequences that are fun to watch. It’s almost like an indie Hunger Games, in a sense, and the idea of that is pretty exciting.”

The U.S. women’s gymnastics team has a lot to prove next month when the Olympic Games start in Rio. As defending team gold medalists, there’s pressure to defend that title, and as the country that’s produced the last three all-around champions in a row, there’s tremendous expectations to make it a four-peat.

That’s very likely to happen, with three-time world champion Simone Biles now officially on the U.S. team. Biles (above) easily won the two-day Olympic trials in San Jose, Calif., cementing her reputation as the best gymnast in the world. Biles hasn’t lost a major competition since winning the world championships in 2013. Despite an uncharacteristic fall off the beam and a small break on the uneven bars, Biles’s high-difficulty routines meant even a few deductions kept her well ahead of her 12 other competitors.

As the winner of the Olympic trials event, Biles was the only guaranteed member of the Rio-bound team. The remaining four members were chosen by a selection committee of three—national team coordinator Martha Karolyi; Tatiana Perskaia, a women’s national team coach; and Terin Humphrey, the athlete representative. The panel met for nearly half an hour after the trials were completed at the SAP Center to name the remainder of the team.

After the agonizing wait, Gabrielle Douglas (above), reigning Olympic all-around gold medalist from London 2012, learned that she qualified for her second Olympic trip despite coming in seventh at the trials. Her second-place finish behind Biles at last year’s world championships and her experience with Olympic-level competition, particularly on the uneven bars where the U.S. team is weak, however, made up for her trials performance. Her London teammate Aly Raisman (below) also earned a second Olympic spot with solid finishes throughout this season.

Joining them are first-time Olympians Laurie Hernandez from Old Bridge, N.J., and Madison Kocian of Dallas. Hernandez (below) was the surprise standout of the trials, with a memorably energetic floor routine and consistent routines on the three other events over the two-day competition, making it clear she’s ready for a shot at the Olympics.

The team is a carefully built group meant to give the U.S. the best chance of defending its team gold. Three gymnasts will compete on each of the four events, and Karolyi and the selection committee scrutinized each gymnast’s routine to figure out which combination of programs would yield the highest overall score. Biles excels at vault, floor, and balance beam, as does Raisman, while Douglas and Kocian (below) are specialists on the uneven bars, and Hernandez shines on floor.

The team now heads to Houston to the National Training Center for further training, during which Karolyi will determine the final lineup of who will compete on which event in Rio.

Girls’ day out! Cameron Diaz went makeup-free as she indulged in a spa day in Los Angeles Tuesday, stepping out in a body-hugging, gray maxi dress and a tan cardigan.

The Annie star paired her casual street style look with a gray crossbody bag, and wore her blonde looks straight and parted in the middle, as she made her way inside with sister-in-law Nicole Richie.

You may remember that historic visit Leonardo DiCaprio made to Pope Francis to discuss climate change back in January of this year—an unprecedented move for the Catholic Church thanks to one of their most progressive popes in recent history—he even has an Instagram!

The visit was recorded and now makes an appearance in DiCaprio’s recently released environmental documentary Before the Flood, which chronicles his various meetings with scientists, activists and world leaders to discuss the dangers of climate change and possible solutions. 

Upon meeting the pope, DiCaprio greets him in Italian, saying, “your Holiness, thank you for granting me this private audience with you,” and presenting him with a book featuring artwork from painter Hieronymus Bosch. The 41-year-old actor said the triptych “The Garden of Earthly Delights” used to hang over his crib as a baby. In return the pope gave DiCaprio a leather-bound version of his encyclical on the environment, Laudato Si’.

“One of the most important spiritual leaders on the planet has now called upon the world community to accept the modern science of climate change,” DiCaprio, narrates in the background, explaining the significance of the meeting. “A pope has never done anything like this in history.”

The crop tops, high-waist denim, and satin shorts Lady Gaga has worn while promoting “Perfect Illusion” define rock ‘n’ roll, but when it comes to her look on American Horror Story season 6, let’s just say Halloween came early this year.

Ryan Murphy’s beloved FX show premiered last night and while many questions are still left unanswered—there’s usually a very clear theme to each season—we do know that this one follows a documentary-style form and is titled “My Roanoke Nightmare.” In it, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Sarah Paulson play an unsuspecting couple that moves away from L.A. and into a quiet home with plenty of surprises, but it’s not their relationship that takes the cake.

As we learned on the season 6 premiere, spooky characters from the past haunt the property, including an axe weilding one portrayed by Kathy Bates. And while much is still unknown, a new teaser offers a short preview of next week’s episode, in which Lady Gaga hits the screen.

In the video above, the singer and Golden Globe-winning actress terrifyingly screams next to Bates. Although we only get a split-second glimpse of Gaga (below, left), we’re already loving what we see.
