Only a few hours ago, John Cena returned to a WWE ring at Super Show-Down and teamed up with Bobby Lashley to take on the team of Kevin Owens and Elias. Cena and Lashley defeated their opponents with tremendous ease, and some fans even noted that Cena did not take any bumps at all during the bout. According to an update from WrestlingNews.co, Cena is still living in China right now to film the upcoming movie, “Project X.” The producers of the film did not want to risk one of the stars of the movie receiving an injury, which is why Cena’s time in the ring as limited, and it is also the reason why the former world champion has tweaked his look. Cena will be in China for two more months to finish the movie, but he could make some appearances at WWE’s Crown Jewel and SmackDown 1000 shows.
WWE just concluded their Super Show-Down event in Melbourne, Australia a few hours ago, and the show was headlined by a no-disqualification match that saw Triple H finally get a win over The Undertaker before “The Phenom” and Kane suddenly ambushed “The Game ” and Shawn Michaels. That was only one of the huge matches that WWE used to promote the event, and it appears that WWE’s recent visit to Australia payed off. WWE announcer Michael Cole claimed during the show that 70,309 fans filled up the Melbourne Cricket Ground for Super Show-Down. No word on whether or not this is an inflated number by WWE, but this figure would top the 56,734 attendance number from WWE’s Global Warning tour in Melbourne from 2002. “The MCG” can seat around 100,000 people.

On Super Show-Down, Becky Lynch was able to retain her SmackDown Women’s Championship over Charlotte Flair. However, it was not exactly a clean victory for Lynch as she was able to grab onto her title and attack Flair with it during a submission attempt from the former champion in order to lose the match via disqualification but keep the championship. As a result of the fluke outcome, Lynch will be forced to defend the title against Charlotte Flair at least one more time on SmackDown this Tuesday night. A match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship still has not been confirmed for Evolution yet, but fans will not have to wait long to see the next title defense from Becky Lynch as it takes place in just a few more days.
