Deadline To Bid For Air India Ends, Debt-Ridden National Carrier Fails To Attract Any Buyers

Air India, the country’s national carrier, which the government had proposed to privatise has failed to attract any potential bidders.

The deadline to submit the expression of interest (EoI) ended at around 5 pm on Thursday. Aviation secretary R N Choubey said, the deadline for submitting the EoI will not be extended. The original deadline was May 14, which was extended to the month-end.
