Igor Tudor confident ahead of the UCL encounter against Sporting

It has been a difficult start to the European campaign for Igor Tudor, with Marseille staying winless in the 2022/23 Champions League campaign thus far.

While speaking to RMC Sport ahead of OM’s Champions League clash against Sporting CP, Tudor epitomised his team’s positive mindset going into another tough match against the current toppers of Group D. The manager said:

“First of all, we have to think about putting in a good performance on Tuesday, and we know that at this level in the Champions League, it’s all about the little details. I have a lot of faith in this team, I have confidence in the team for tomorrow. We will do what is necessary. We are in a good situation. We have to show that in the Champions League and against Sporting.”

Then, taking a dig at the journalist, he added:

“I think you journalists like this exaggeration of saying that this is our last chance! I always think differently, I think we’ve put in some great performances. It’s true that we don’t have any points at the moment, but we deserved better.”
