Jordan Veretout – Marseille deal dead in the water

According to L’Équipe, Marseille’s pursuit of the loan of Aston Villa’s French central midfielder Jordan Veretout is dead in the water.

The player had wanted to join Marseille, but his agents were never keen on him doing so, and attempted to find other options for him as a move to OM was nearing completion.

Real Betis have joined the party meanwhile and Marseille appear ready to give up on this target.
