In yet another case of medical apathy in Uttar Pradesh, a man was forced to carry his wife’s body in a handcart after being allegedly denied an ambulance by the district hospital of Mainpuri on Monday. Kanhaiyalal, 36, who works as a labourer, said he had no option but to wrap the body in sheets of cloth and carry it on the cart to reach their home, situated 5 km from the facility, for her last rites.
