More than 1.5 lakh people in around 427 relief camps across Assam woke up to another day of uncertainty as torrential rains continue to pour down across the state, inundating more and more land.
More than 57 lakhs people across Assam have been affected by the devastation floods, with many of them stranded in their homes amid rising waters.
Some 30 have died in the past two weeks due to the monsoon rains, local government officials said.
