Question Your Doubts – Motivation by Mark Schwab

It seems the past few weeks I have talked with several people from many arenas who are struggling with doubts; maybe you currently are? If you’re not at the present, you have been there and will struggle again. How successful are your current methods of breaking up the gale of doubt? Maybe you give it no thought and just accept the doubts and place everything on hold until the uncertainties pass. From my experience as a human, I can safely say most people accept the doubts and do little or nothing to alter or improve their psychological state. We’re not responsible for what comes into our mind, but, we’re responsible for how long we entertain unconstructive thoughts. I understand how frustrating it can be to move out of a defeating mental state into a beneficial condition.
Listen, you’re going to be thinking a long time, so why not be the director of your mental form. It takes no more time to work at thinking favorable than it does to thinking defeating habits. Since you’re going to be thinking anyway, why not organize your thinking to live and deliver what you really want and are competent enough to complete. If you want to think in helpful and useful ways, you will have to work at it. Awareness and making conscious decisions to challenge doubts will change your life. There is a great saying – ‘We are the sole authors of our condition.’ You can roll your eyes and let the mental chips fall where they may, or you can get involved with what is occupying your mind, work to improve your mental state, and attain the outcomes you’re capable of.
You can turn doubt on itself by creating doubts about your doubts. Are you confused? Let me try again. Doesn’t it make sense that if you question your readiness, worth, and whether we’re good enough, etc…, you can question your doubts as well?
Whenever you feel doubtful or uncertain about something, you can spin doubt on itself by using questions to create doubt. By nature, questions break up certainty; questions create doubt. Why not create doubt in your uncertainties? Why not start to question your doubts?
If you begin to question your abilities and feel doubtful, why not speculate that you can actually do it? Instead of doubts about your ability, why not doubt your inability? What if you try, and turn out to be excellent at “it”? What if everyone is wrong about you? What if you are wrong about you?
You can turn hesitation on itself through the use of questions. You know all fears are created in your mind. Thinking is a process of constructing and ordering ideas. You simply need to adjust how you assemble your ideas.
Questions are very powerful as a directional device for your mind. It’s the process where we tap into real power. Whatever you ask of your mind, you will get an answer. Seek and you shall find. Ask and you will receive. You will always get an answer. You just need to be aware of it. If it’s not an answer you can profit from, then ask questions until you get an answer that will assist you in your search and quest.
