Skra Belchatow again champion in Poland

Skra Belchatow is champion of volleyball Plusliga in Poland. Asseco Rzeszow Resovia lost the third final game at home with Skra PGE Belchatow 1:3.

For the fifth time a team from Belchatow reached the championship title. The public in the Rzeszow hall saw the match after two meetings in Belchatow. In spite of great effort of home team, Belchatow controlled the game and deserved the victory in the last final game. The final match can be described as a dignified final of PlusLiga.

“I knew that before own audience Resovia play a completely different way. They have fantastic supporters here which have made a really amazing show. I am delighted that after so many years I finally managed to win the gold medal”, said Piotr Gacek

“They were very efficient and this brought them to the intended effect. We were very keen to take us here and we wanted to extend the final series. We did not succeeded at least we can proudly say goodbye to the fans. They believed to the end in us and they were with us”, commented the last game spiker of Rzeszow Marcin Wika.

Coach of Skra Belchatow Daniel Castellani: “I am very pleased that my work in Skra has been finished with the gold medal, in a team which created the best conditions. I won three times polish championship with Belchatow. Now I will work with Polish national team”.
