In news we’ve been waiting for since 2016, Georgia Love and Lee Elliott – who you might remember from season two of The Bachelorette Australia – have announced their engagement.
That’s right, a total of three years after Love and Elliot met and fell in love on the hit reality series, the pair have taken to Instagram to confirm the news
“If you’re not busy for the next 50 or 60 years…” #YES!!” Love captioned a post that picture the happy couple as she showed off her ring by what E! News reports to be the Hawkesbury River.
“I liked it so I put a ring on it #feyonce,” Elliott wrote alongside the same image.
A number of reality television stars have since taken to the comments section of each of the announcements to share their well wishes.
“THIS PLEASES ME GREATLY!” The Bachelor and The Bachelorette Australia host Osher Günsberg wrote alongside Love’s post. Similarly, Ali Oetjen commented, “Naw, congrats guys!! So happy for the both of you,” and Tim Robards added, “Yeah yeah guys!!!! Woohoo!”
According to E! News, it has since been revealed that Elliott proposed to Love with an engagement ring from private jeweller Saphira Diamonds.
“CONGRATULATIONS are in order for our lovely clients @leeroyelliott and @georgiealove ?,” the jeweller wrote on Instagram. “Lee worked with us to help design Georgia’s perfect engagement ring.” Saphira Diamonds also confirmed the ring to be a round solitaire that sits above a micropavé band.
Love has since shared a close up of the eye-catching ring on Instagram, captioning the post: “Can’t. Stop. Staring #feyonce”. And if we’re being honest, neither can we.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
