The Rock’s Daughter Wants to Wrestle, Zayn/Owens Update, Lynch

The Rock is one of the most legendary WWE Superstars of all time and he is currently one of the biggest movie stars in the entire world today. The Rock comes from an enormous family of professional wrestlers, so perhaps it’s no surprise that his daughter wants to follow in her father’s footsteps. Simone Garcia Johnson recently did an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, and she revealed that she is interested in working for WWE one day. “The Great One’s” daughter becoming a professional wrestler would make her a fourth generation wrestler. When asked about wrestling, Simone said in the interview, “It’s a sport that is unlike anything else in the world. There’s just a certain amount of passion that every move and match requires, and that’s so admirable. It’s definitely something I’ve thought about and want to pursue.”
It was confirmed that Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens were both sent home from WWE’s European tour after last week’s Smackdown show. Tons of rumors and speculation on the issue were reported, but Dave Meltzer provided an update in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The report claims that Zayn and Owens did go off the script last week when they did not receive a beating from the New Day. Owens and Zayn were yelled at backstage and were then sent home. For this reason, there does appear to be some legitimacy to Owens’ recent feud on Twitter with Randy Orton. Owens and Zayn did return on Smackdown this week though and they are now back on the road with WWE.
Whenever a new season of the Total Divas reality show is announced for the E! network, fans are eager to know which female superstars will be joining the cast. The newest season features the likes of Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax, and Carmella all joining the series. During an interview with Bleacher Report, Smackdown’s Becky Lynch shot down the possibility of herself joining the reality series at some point. Lynch does not believe she would be a great fit for the show and she also wants to retain some privacy for when she is not in the ring. “It’s a great opportunity for the women. But I never envisioned myself in that role. And there’s a certain mystique about myself that I’d like to keep. I don’t want to give out too much of Rebecca Quinn.” Lynch said.
