The Reason Why the WWE Ditched the King of the Ring PPV
During a recent Q&A session on his ‘Something to Wrestler With’ podcast, Bruce Prichard revealed the real reason as to why the WWE decided to drop the King of the Ring PPV event.
According to Prichard, Vince McMahon was never a fan of the concept as it was the company’s lowest grossing PPV event.
“The pay-per-view events during the summer didn’t do all that well, and King of the Ring wasn’t a large grossing pay-per-view, so Vince wasn’t really excited about it, and decided to change it up.”

Shaq Starts Training for Wrestlemania Match Against The Big Show
NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal revealed on Instagram that he has begun training for his heavily rumoured match against The Big Show at this years Wrestlemania event from Orlando, Florida. While the WWE have remained tight-lipped about the match, it has been reported that Vince McMahon has locked in three matches, with Big Show v Shaq said to be one of them.
