The controversy continues regarding the scheduled WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view for next month.

This weekend, WWE removed the WWE Crown Jewel PPV, which was scheduled for November 2nd in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from their official WWE.com calendar of events.

As of this writing, WWE has yet to issue a formal statement regarding the potential cancellation of the show, however it has been known for a few days now within the company that backup ideas and plans were being discussed in case something extreme happens.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that the actual event page itself for WWE Crown Jewel still exists on the official WWE website, however all references to Saudi Arabia have been taken down.
