WWE Reportedly Changed Plans For Mae Young Classic Finals Due to Talent Injury (Contains Spoilers)

As noted, WWE NXT star Tegan Nox suffered another injury setback during this year’s Mae Young Classic tapings, when she appeared to have broken her knee during her first round tournament match.

During yesterday’s NXT Takeover media conference call with Triple H, The Game did not specify when Nox will be returning from injury, but he did note that she has a “long road” ahead of her.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, there were plans in place for Nox to be involved in the finals of this year’s Mae Young Classic, but those plans were forced to be changed when Nox exited the tournament early with injury. As a result, the finals of the tournament will be Io Shirai vs Toni Storm, and that match will take place at WWE Evolution.
